I was excited when we picked up Cro, but my man love is fading away. Cro seems lost out there on the field think he is still super green. What is your observations? :icon_shrug: Def not ready to start. I like Oliver play already over Cro, Oliver seems more familiar with the game already.

Dude .. it is preseason .. what is up with all the doubt in here lately! Anteater on the podcast just being way to overly pessimistic about a f-ing preseason game.

This team went 14-2 last season people! Get f-in excited!!

Exactly. Sheesh. I was never overly excited about Cro, because I never watched him in college much......BUT you can't give up on a guy coming off a big injury his first year and now only in his second year. Kid is still learning. We have others and the competition with DF is only going to make him better.

You like Oliver over Cro? I have watched Oliver and he seems slow, out of place and confused. In his defense he came in way later and doesn't know the system yet so I'll give him some slack.

As for Cro, I always thought it wouldn't be until his 3rd year that we'd really see him come into his own. As raw as he was and coming off a major injury, I never expected him to be Champ Bailey by the start of his second year. Give him a little more time.

I keep hearing very different reports on Cro's camp so far. Some are saying he's struggling other say he's having a great camp and looks ready to challenge Florence. How can these people see two totally different things?

The development of underexperienced players is always uneven. There are three more exhibitions and the rest of training camp to iron out the kinks. Florence is still the starter. Cromartie is a gamer who will come around. There will time to slowly integrate him into increased playing time as the season proceeds. AJ was up front about drafting him as a developmental project. He's pretty much on track. Most receivers come into their own after three years, and the same hold true for the guys to have to deal with them. Exceptions are few and far between.

my bad, you guys are totally right, I need to give the guy some time. I am really high on that guy Fabian Washington from the Raiders and it was his 2nd year last year, but then at the same time he had college experience, more at least.

talk **** who me? never. Dont get me wrong. I am totally jockin Cromartie, I guess I just needed this pep talk, because all of these articles I read as well were saying nothing but great things about him and to watch him play last week was heartbreaking. I got nothing but love for everyone.

A.J. Smith has told me to forgive. I was confused for a couple days, weeks, months you know how it is. I have to support my brother through his hard offseason, he is trying to make it in the big leagues. And he has! I am happy for the brother! Go get them E.P, for that # 1 spot! Back up C.D, V.J, M.F, E.P train is coming through!

There's no doubt that Cro has incredible physical ability. But that alone isn't going to make you a good football player in the NFL. You have to be smart. And I think Cro is as sharp as a sack of wet feathers. Being out of position is more a matter of being stupid than being physically unable.

Why do you think everyone is so high on Weddle? He's got a tenth of the physical ability of Cro, yet the one thing everyone says when talking about him is his football 'smarts'. Sometimes, you just can't teach a dumb person. He may just have to rely on his physical ability.
