    Jay Cutler:
Couch Slouch missed the memo on Cutler, the one that talks about him having the strongest arm since David (yeah, that David, who not only slew Goliath with a powerful slingshot but did it off his back foot) and being a "difference maker" and having bottled ice water in his veins and being, quite possibly, one of the top five QBs in the league.

No, the Jay Cutler I know had a 17-20 record in three years with the Broncos and an 11-34 record in four years at Vanderbilt. Then again, he was 26-1 his final two years in high school, which means the city of Chicago should be excited about him if he's enrolling at Northside College Prep. Otherwise, we're looking at a 28-54 record since 2001 and a fella who always talks a good game but always walks into the losers' locker room.

He's got 9-7 written all over him -- if he overachieves.

    4,526 passing yards

    25 TDs to 18 INTs

He lived up to the hype last year while his defense held his team back.

Just because the guy is a whiney douchebag doesn't mean he sucks on the football field.

And I hope the Bears go 14-2, it'll make Denver's 1st rounder next year that much lower.

Yes, he'll live up to the hype-the crybaby hype, the throwing his teammates under the bus hype and the taunting hype (not me it was mean Phillip Rivers who started it).

You know who else often gets accused of throwing his teammates under the bus? Peyton Manning.

He put up big numbers on a team that was throwing all the time. I do agree that he does not suck, but I feel that he is HIGHLY overrated. I get ill listening to media types drool over him like his Hall of Fame bust has already been cast.

This. Though he did completely suck in the red zone.

Give him even a halfway decent defense and the Broncos win division by 4 games last year.

The guy is a quarterback who I think one day will win a Superbowl once he matures a bit. Trading him was an epic fail on McDaniels part.

So, what you're telling me is, everyone knew they were going to pass and he still got the ball to the receiver?

See, I can spin it to fit my argument as well, but when you take away all the rhetoric the stats still remain and Cutler still remains a Pro Bowl QB that tore NFL secondaries apart last year.

Being a crybaby and douchebag off the field doesn't change this.

Cutler has already lived up to his own hype. The team didn't live up to theirs. I mean come on the media already has his nutsac in their collective mouths for someone who hasn't ever been to the playoffs.

Jay Cutler is actually somewhat scary because is went to a team that has a running game and great defense. However, one can only hope that because they are a run first team, and their WR Core sucks that his stats will come down a bit.

All Jay Cutler did is go from a great offense to a not so great offense, and a bad to defense to a great defense. My guess is they will get a wild card, then lose in the first round to the Eagles.

Could it be their offense wasn't so great because they had Kyle Orton behind center?

Well I was going to say that but its the scheme. They are a run dominant offense that is really never flashy. I still expect them to put up a lot more points but they aren't going to overwhelm anyone.
