    Te'o 5-0

Actually, I just didn't know where to post general Manti Te'o predictions/thoughts/analysis. I don't see the point of posting in a draft thread anymore.

From what I can tell, Manti Te'o will be an impact player, for good or ill. He was at least one of the anchors on an astoundingly good college football team - Notre Dame is not undefeated in the regular season in 2012 without Manti Te'o's output, but he did not help them in the National Championship Game. He's got "instincts" they all say, but let's see how they kick in when its professional Hall of Fame-bound quarterbacks on the other side.

He's rather slow running laterally and in general. Can he keep up with the speediest NFL WRs, RBs and TEs?

So I think he'll be a game changer in some big victories and a goat in big losses. I think there will be times he earns a game ball, leads the team in tackles, INTs, and stops behind the line. I think there will be other Sundays where he gets burned and the team loses as a result. He'll be praised and he'll be castigated. Could the team have gotten better? Probably, but I do think it was very valuable pick for any team, and it just happens to be this one.

Oh yeah, I'm back. Free of school and it seems the draft is always the unofficial start of football season.

I didn't read the story. I imagine they tell you in there why he changed his number. In his presser after he got drafted he said he was going with #51 out of the numbers he was given.

I originally did not like the draft pick, basically because of trading up to get him and losing a fourth-rounder.
Now all I can do is cheer for him to succeed.

Hawaii 5-0 is a pretty cool nickname.

So it's come to this: fans so football-starved that there's a thread about
whether a guy who hasn't played an NFL down will wear #50 or #51.

^^^May have to twist that one a little, maybe something like "Book 'em, T'eo!" Naw, I sense a sort of plagarism. But I might just bring a poster to the game with that on it...
