    But we still got Brown.

But what can Brown do for us?

Looks like Brown will actually be getting touches now since I just read that Oliver was placed on IR.

I wouldn't bet on him actually touching the ball. Maybe a pass pro snap or two every week.

Too bad about Oliver, it's about time with Jacoby.

I think he signed his own pink slip when he left that punt go and we ended up inside the 10.

This is their half *** attempt to make it look like they're holding players accountable, and like they did something at the deadline.

Too many injuries to keep a pure special teams player on the roster. Plus with Jones not producing, not like the next person could do any worse.

About time. This move should be good for maybe one win but it's a little late and really didn't go far enough with the releases.

^^^What I meant was a #12 with "Jones" on the back. Stan the Man was a classic iron man type of player!

I always loved Stan...but in a passing town that has had the likes of Hadl, Fouts & Rivers...
who'd have ever thought that the only one to see a Super Bowl would be #12?

I loved that team. Marion Butts was a monster. I used to love watching Chargers vs Chiefs, and Butts vs Okoye. Some good games there. I wish he would have played longer. Also Jefferson, Seay, Seau, O'Neal.

Butts was fun to watch...but re. the Super Bowl team, you're probably thinking of the Natrone Bomb

Okay, so now that Jones is no longer a factor (never was) and Oliver is out for the season due to injury, who do the Bolts turn to for fielding punts and kick-offs? Is that Davis kid still on the team? What about Inman or Herndon? And whatever happened to Donald Brown? Are his hands still wrapped in cold cream and bubble wrap?

Davis is gone, probably for good, last concussion was a bad one. Herndon will return the punts I'd imagine. Kick offs FWIW is probably between him and Brown I'd think.

Oh, he was a factor.

Frequently gave the Bolts worse field position than a brick would...by turning 20 yard-line field position
into something worse...and letting that punt go on Sunday may have cost them the game

I was pondering the implications of some of the things that I saw on Sunday. Could it be possible that one of the reasons that Jones didn't make that catch was because he was still a little loyal to his old team, or that someone from Balt. (perhaps one of his old team mates) "got" to him? Maybe he had a side wager (a la Shoeless Joe Jackson or Pete Rose) or had money on the game to "throw it?" Just a thought...

Pointy just crossed over to the dark side

Blitzy says, JJ was dumped because he had a whopping -1 yard for his efforts during his tenure and with 12 injuries during that game alone, 3 of them ending up on IR, Jones became absolutely dispensable. I heard that the team was having difficulties putting 42-43 personnel together out of the allowed 48, after the Baltimore game.

I am thinking that it is the whole ST scheme.

We have no coordinated blocking, and out ST coverage's just seem to be keystone copping the whole play.

ST punt returns blocking is stir fried s4it! That said, maybe the Steelers have a rule against punt returners smoking reefer in the locker room?
