I don't want to cause a panic but on the bottom line on NFL Network last night it said that Jamal had an MRI yesterday on a sprained ankle and he is listed as day-to-day. Anyone else heard anything about this? If true screw the day-to-day sit his *** until he is good to go.

He'll be fine for the season opener. The MRI came back NEGATIVE.

I think they should treat him like LT. Rest him in preseason. After 9 seasons, I don't think Jamal has forgotten how to clog the middle and collapse the pocket.

I know it came up negative and yeah he needs to sit until week one IMO.

i was all for giving him some time in the game but no way, not at this point.

Let McKinney and Bingham go at it for the right to be the #2 NT

I was pissed that he was in there to begin with.

    1) He doesn't need it
    2) As Jamal's cankles go, so does our defense
    3) It would be nice to see if McKinney is improved enough to run with the 1st string

Hopefully we won't see big Jamal until the season opener and he's 100% by then.

I'd let McKinney work with the starters for the next game or two. If Jamal's healthy, you can give him 10-20 snaps in the final preseason game.

    Bingham no way.

Let McKinney and Leonard do the NT duties this preseason and see if both make the team. I'm pretty sure McKinney will have a spot, as the coaches love him right now.

Leonard vs. Bingham for that roster spot.

I would shut him down as well. If Jamal wants to play a series, I would leave it up to him.

There are certain guys whose experience and talent make their risky appearance in this meaningless exhibition charade completely unacceptable for the Chargers. They have continuity, they are not learning a new system and they've all been together for a long time. Skill positions need to get their timing down and the offensive line needs some rehearsals to coordinate themselves, but that's it. LT, Jamal, Merriman, Castillo and such don't need the wear and tear and the rehearsal time. The action is better suited to developing younger players and testing the new ones. Our prime vets don't need much action until the last two games of the junk time. The starters are best served by preparing for the first couple games of the season.

Sounds like nothing's broken. All he has to do is rest up and take something to help him with the pain.

Ice it up and he'll be 100% against Chicago.

    Don't trip y'all.

I don't think this should bother anyone, but if it does, my bad. But get over it, have a sense of humor. The baby was alright.

    ^LMAO

But anyways, Leonard was one of the guys I was watching up close at TC, and he messed up a couple times and some guys were riding him, which was pretty funny. But please god not bingham. We need you Jamal!

How big is he? Is he close to McKinney's size? NTs are a precious, lard-filled commodity, and if Big Lou is even half-way decent, I would feel so much better with our depth, especially if he's better than Bingham.

Yeah man, he was huge. But they were all pretty freaking big. But he definatly looked much slower than some of the other guys and his footwork was sloppy. But it was only the first day, so I can't really say anything now. It is worth noting that he was the first guy out there, so maybe he is working hard and improving:icon_shrug:

HAHAHA I hadn't seen that before but it was pretty damn funny.

I once had someone get all offended by my sig. Oh well can't please everyone. I'm glad you have a sense of humor.

Well, it's not like we need him running down wideouts or anything, just to stand his ground and tie up blockers. Ya hopefully he is working hard. He'll need to just to get on the practice squad, much less the 53. All I know is I dread the day Jamal leaves the Chargers.

Well, I bet it makes more people laugh then pisses them off. How can you hate on someone with a "Red Balls" avatar? Haha, Dave Chappelle was a comic genius. I hate that Chappelle's Show ended waaay before it's time. That was some All-Time funniest $h!t there.

    I'm Rick James, b!t[h.

Don't worry folks, my boy will be fine. I'll bet he stays out next game, plays a series or two in game 3 and then rests.
