Now just restructure Clary and possibly Hardwick. Also would like to see some of Weddle's $ pushed into next year.

JJ is the ****. Totally underappreciated in the league, and even by our fans.

I don't see Hardwick taking a pay cut. I thik that ship sailed after he met with the FO and decided to come back.

Curious to see if we keep Freeney around.

Wow! between resigning key free agents and the restructured deals done so far I am really enjoying these off season moves. It tells me that Telesco has a handle on things and the players are buying in. I think we will see more of these kinds of moves soon. They should also have a lot more room under the cap than any of us were expecting.

... I also appreciate them cutting loose some of the players who are just taking up (cap) space.

We don't know how the draft will shake out, FA has nothing we can afford except role players. So why not keep him until after the draft see where he gets you. I still think he has some left in the tank.

Oh yeah I don't think we're going to dump Freeney soon unless a great opportunity opens up that we couldn't otherwise take. But if the plan is to keep Freeney around it means the FO probably isn't prioritizing adding pass rushing either through the draft or through free agency. Of course we have no way to know until after the draft.

Yeah, I don't know I can still see us drafting one anywhere from round 1-3 to have a redshirt year under Freeney and be a situational pass rusher, hopefully learn from Dwight and also JJ.

What next? Rivers takes a 10 million dollar pay cut? Maybe Telesco takes a 5 million pay cut, and makes the employees at Chargers HQ take pay cuts and donate free time to feed the homeless at Father Joe's Village every other week?

To see this team making moves and working hard early in the off-season is really somewhat odd without all the poop that was formerly slung around.

Call me cynical, but this one floored me. ******* good to hear a guy will do this though, and for a team that he's only been with a couple years.
