    Here's how it'll shake out:

Javon will tell the police he doesn't remember anything past 9pm. Police won't have any leads on suspects. Only witnesses that will be available are those who saw him stumble out of the casino, through the parking lot, and onto the side streets of Vegas (just like the thousands of other drunks who have come before him).

    Case closed.

Javon Walker will then issue a statement about how sorry he is for getting caught in this situation.

Everyone will go back to hating him because he's a Raider.

    Any questions? :icon_shrug:

    Define innocent.

I'm not being argumentative, just inquisitive. Honestly, I debate back and forth the "deserving" factor in this, because he had been in this type of situation before. He knew the odds catches up with guys who go to these places, late at night, act like an idiot, etc ...

This was a guy out looking for fun, trouble, and anything and everything in between. He found some of it, and he couldn't get out of that situation. He's lucky he's still alive.

I can't get the pics to open now (maybe too much hotlinking) but one of those spy/vegas pics showed a few dudes glancing at Walker in a not so friendly manner. Maybe it was nothing, but sure looked strange.

    Posted by ESPN.com's Bill Williamson

Interesting information out of Oakland's OTA camp regarding new big-money receiver Javon Walker. Apparently, the $55 million man isn't in great shape and he was overshadowed by journeyman Drew Carter.

With just under four months to go until the regular season, Walker has plenty of time to get into shape. I covered him in Denver the past two years and he always kept himself in great shape. He was one of the better conditioned players on the team.

Thus, Walker's conditioning shouldn't be a concern. But if he is being outplayed by a guy like Carter maybe all of Walker's knee issues are catching up to him. After he returned from missing seven games due to a knee injury last season, Walker finished the season with seven catches in the final six games. Denver coaches said he was healthy but he was a non-factor. That's why it was so puzzling that the Raiders gave him such a huge contract.

What blows me away, from my point of view anyway, is why these dopes don't take that money and go some place like Tahiti, or the Seychelles. Maybe some place with real class like Monaco, Nice, St. Tropez or Amalfi. Want to blow off steam and do carousing? Go to Amsterdam or Hamburg. Somebody dropped millions in double figures in my lap, my last stop would be Vegas.

This kind of drinking in public places is dumb. His mama should have taught him rule #1- not to flash money in bars. You can get into trouble doing that in the Gas lamp. Then she should have taught him rule #2-unless you're cabbin' portal to portal, don't wear white gold or platinum and diamonds out to drink, especially in strange bars.

Lost track of how many drunken sailors I've seen this happen to-and none of them had the excuse of wasting four years in college. He's a victim, but not an innocent victim, and he clearly bears some responsibility for what happened to him. He will pay dearly for this, since from the look of the injury reports, his vision and balance may well be affected. The word for this isn't tragedy, it's stupid waste.

Word out here is that Walker realised that he signed with the Raiders and punched himself in the face and knocked himself out and then he was robbed when he was unconsious :turdspuke:
