Javon should've learned from Roger Clemens' mistake. Just shut up and let the story die. The more you say, the more digging the media will do.

I can't wait to see what happens next.

He should have released this statement ....

"I was partying with some guys I thought I could trust, and they jumped me, beat me, and robbed me. I've given all the info I have to the police, and will cooperate fully with their investigation. It was poor judgement on my part to trust people I'd just met recently."

    Boom.... end of story.

And the beat goes on --------

Walker out from hospital, recovering from robbery, beating

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3450391

LAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders expect new receiver Javon Walker to be ready for training camp when he recovers from injuries incurred during a robbery in Las Vegas last weekend.

    What about his bum knees??

Raiders coach Lane Kiffin finally spoke to Walker by phone on Wednesday morning, more than two days after Walker was discovered unconscious and beaten on a back street near the Las Vegas Strip following a night of partying. Walker was released from a hospital after treatment for a concussion and facial injuries.

"The info that I have is he's going to be fine," Kiffin said. "Training camp won't be an issue. ... But until our guys look at him, I don't want to say [the extent of Walker's injuries]."

Kiffin said Walker was scheduled to fly to Oakland on Wednesday evening in time to attend the final session of the Raiders' organized team activities on Thursday, though he obviously won't suit up with quarterback JaMarcus Russell and his new teammates. Oakland opens training camp July 25 in Napa.

"We are aware that Javon Walker was the victim of a robbery," Raiders spokesman Mike Taylor said in a statement. "We have been told that he will make a full recovery in the near future and resume his preparation for the 2008 NFL season."

A Las Vegas police spokesman said a large amount of cash and expensive jewelry were taken from Walker, who was photographed earlier in the fateful evening spraying a nightclub crowd with champagne. His agent, Kennard McGuire, said Walker was "recovering in a private environment" on Wednesday.

Walker signed a six-year, $55 million deal with the Raiders after the Denver Broncos released him in February. The 29-year-old former Packers star has participated in some offseason work with Russell, though Kiffin said two weeks ago that Walker was "a little heavy" for workouts.

Russell has been a high-profile star since high school, and the former No. 1 draft pick is fully aware of the dangers inherent in such a high-profile profession.

"There's people out there," Russell said. "Just be careful and watch your surroundings. Watch out, or always carry somebody with you when you go out. Just watch yourself and know that you're representing a whole bunch of people when you're out there."

You're representing a bunch of spoiled overpaid attention whores

Details of Walker's party night still were sketchy, and the Raiders weren't expected to make Walker available to the media on the final day of workouts, with Thursday scheduled to be closed to reporters.

But Walker knows the dangers of nighttime partying better than most athletes.

On Jan. 1, 2007, a still-unidentified gunman targeted a car carrying Walker and several Broncos teammates in a drive-by shooting outside a downtown Denver nightclub. Darrent Williams, a defensive back, died in Walker's arms in their rented limousine after an apparent altercation between a handful of athletes and other partygoers.

Nobody has been arrested or charged in Williams' slaying. Walker and other witnesses said Broncos teammate Brandon Marshall had sprayed that crowd with champagne, which might have sparked the confrontation that led to the shooting.

"All we can do is educate [players] the best that we can," Kiffin said. "We can't babysit them. ... Not many good things happen after midnight, and this is another example of that, another reminder of how dangerous it is out there."

I don't know, I've had some damn good times after midnight!!! :icon_shrug:

NORM: Walker says he was in his room

Pro football player Javon Walker sprays champagne early Monday at Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker told a Web site Tuesday that he was knocked unconscious at gunpoint in his Bellagio hotel room and abducted.

TheDirty.com said Walker agreed to an interview to clear up rumors that the robbery was connected to his champagne-spraying at Tryst nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas and Body English at the Hard Rock Hotel.

"I was just back at my room, and at about 5:30 in the morning, I got a knock at the door," he told the Web site. "I opened it, and three guys with guns were there. They cracked me in the head a few times, knocking me unconscious. They then robbed me of everything I had; my watch, money, everything. Somehow they got me to a car and dropped me off in the street. That's what happened."

Walker was to be interviewed Tuesday night by Las Vegas police, his second session with authorities. A statement by the NFL star was in the works for today, police indic...

In the interview with the Web site, Walker rejected reports that the incident was tied to spraying boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his entourage. Mayweather and his crew were seated near Walker at Body English early Monday.

Walker had showered numerous bottles of Dom Perignon Rose champagne on the crowd at Tryst after arriving about 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Vegas Confidential learned Tuesday. He showed up early Monday at Body English and ordered 15 bottles of Dom Perignon Rose champagne, the same amount he requested at Tryst.

According to the Hard Rock public relations department, Walker left Body English between 3 and 3:30 a.m., not 6:30 a.m., which is the time I cited in a Web report based on information from a Body English executive.

Walker remained in Sunrise Hospital on Tuesday with a moderate concussion and a fractured eye socket.

The Milwaukee Sentinel Journal reported Tuesday that Las Vegas police said he was robbed of $3,000 in cash and $100,000 in jewelry, including a large jewel-encrusted watch. The Milwaukee paper said police indicated the robbers put him in a car and beat him.

If there is a connection to Walker's champagne-spraying actions, it wouldn't be the first time trouble followed him after the bubbly flew into a crowd.

Eighteen months ago, he was with some Denver Broncos teammates when fellow wide receiver Brandon Marshall and Marshall's cousin drenched some patrons during a New Year's Eve party in Denver.

According to published reports, some gang members took offense and confronted the Broncos players, who left the club and drove off in a limo.

A short time later, a drive-by shooting left Walker's friend, Broncos defensive back Darrent Williams, dead from gunshot wounds. Williams died in Walker's arms.

Representatives from seven Las Vegas nightclubs told me Tuesday they do not permit champagne to be sprayed because of the potential problems.

"It's just lighting the fuse," a club operator said. "Things can flare up quick."

Another club executive said, "We consider it the same as throwing your drink on someone. When it happens at our club, they are escorted out immediately."

I think the saying is,"Not may good things happen after 2AM." Other than Vegas, bars in most cities are closed by this time.

That means you are out on the road...

In the video story, it mentions that the Bellagio "has over 2000 security cameras ...."

I wish his agent hadn't taken him off .... I'm sure we'd get some more good "stories" about what happened.

    What?

Does this mean that three thugs didn't enter a high-end hotel, get past security to gain access to a guest's room, knock the guest unconscious, carry the unconscious guest past security personel again, carry the unconscious guest throught the casino, though the lobby area, out past more security personel, and then either have the valet bring the car around or carry the unconscious guest another quarter mile to the self parking garage, all the while avoiding the two thousand cameras in and around the hotel?

    I'm stunned.

If I was Steve Wynn, I'd slap Walker with a lawsuit for punitive damages suffered as a result of lost revenue. He's telling vicious lies that could prevent more high rollers from choosing the Bellagio as their destination of choice.

Of course, the judge would probably dismiss the case due to the fact that nobody would be stupid enough to actually believe such a ridiculous story.

    Well, well, well...

    http://www.lvrj.com/news/20625684.html

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker was seen entering a car under his own power at the Bellagio the morning he was found beaten and unconscious, it was learned Friday.

Metro police have surveillance tape of Walker going to the car, and it doesn't match the abduction story he told a Web site Tuesday, the source said.

It does not appear on the tape that Walker is being coerced, the source said.

    DUH!!!!
