The Falcons released him and he wants to play for a winning team.

I'm not sure whether or not I'd want him on the squad due to his age and the Chambers/VJ combo not being that bad, really, but I'm curious as to every one else's opinion on the matter.

I don't want his attitude or ego on this team.

No. He's a crybaby with a glass jaw. We don't need any of those on our team.

He's super egotistical and getting older and more brittle. He will find a place in the NFL but he's not worth it.

A 36 year old WR that hasn't had a better than average season since 2004?

Atlanta paid him $2.5 million to get as far away as possible. If he had anything left in the tank, why wouldn't they just keep him and make him earn that money?

Remember last year when Keyshawn wanted on the team and how some people thought we should bring him in? I'd rather have Keyshawn or even Eric "The Toeless Wonder" Parker over Horn.

If Joe Horn wants to play so badly, I hear the Bengals are looking for WR. They'll even re-sign idiots that keep getting arrested, so you know they are desperate as hell.

Really? What has Joe Horn done since that cellphone incident? Pretty sad if that's all I can remember him by.

4 or 5 years ago I might have said yes. As it is we are pretty deep at WR and the closest thing we have to a bad attitude is Osgood. I can live with that. Horn is definitely on the "back 9" of his career and it isn't worth putting up with his tired act. One of the more desperate teams will probably pick him up right before the season starts.

True, if this were right before the 2004 season, when the team was busy making all its massive changes, then I would have jumped after Horn.

Not now. We're actually pretty well stacked at WR, contrary to mainstream sports media belief.

Where in the world would we find room on this roster for him.:icon_shrug: Chambers, VJ, Buster, Nanee, Floyd, Osgood and Jones. Out of those the only one he would be better than would be Floyd because Osgood and Jones have great special teams potential.

He's certainly better than Osgood as a WR. At least Horn can still catch when given the chance.

Having a WR who is also a ST gunner isn't that important or necessary anymore, with the way SciFi can boom kicks into the coffin corner. Any dude on ST can just go there and wait for the kick to bounce and down it.

    :icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

Actually bringing him aboard makes perfect sense. Since the talent rich Falcons couldn't find a spot for him on their roster I'm sure he would be an upgrade over most all of our WR's.

Nowhere to put him anyway. It's going to be hard enough to keep guys like Buster and Legadu involved in this offense. I really don't see where Horn would fit in.

I can see Cincy bringing him in for a look. AJ wouldn't bother taking the call if his agent rang the phone.

The Raiders too. I recall them having some overpaid WR that really doesn't want to play anymore.

Kassim is better than Horn at this point. Floyd could outplay him at this stage of Horn's career. With those guys and Naanee, we don't need an attitude like his on the roster.

I don't know if anyone made this comment yet but on Bill Williamson's blog for the AFC West on ESPN.com that the same day he got his release his agent said the Chargers were one of his desired locations...just something to think about...

It's interesting they don't say "I wanna play for the Raiders", or Cincy, or 49ers.

Only the really good teams, that are already loaded.
