Kasim Osgood nice TD catch against Denver

Followed by an excessive celebration. Still he ran through a couple of DBs to get to the end zone.

Glad he's getting a shot at what he wanted.

It was the game winning score! The guy is still a Charger at heart, and he'll probably drop 2 passes and do nothing next week to prove it.

It's not like he wasn't given a chance. It's just hard to crack the starting lineup when theres more talent ahead of you.

I don't remember how it went down.

Did he leave because he was upset about us not giving him a chance at WR in the past? Or did he leave because we told him that there's no way he'd have a chance of playing WR for us even in the future?

Without VJ, I think he Osgood could've been able to crack the rotation as our #3 receiver. Even if he's not as talented as Buster, I would've promised him the #3 job just to keep him happy so we could keep on utilizing him on special teams.

I'm pretty sure it was because he was told he wouldn't have much of a shot in the future (partly fueled by his failure when given a shot in the past)

Granted, I'm sure that decision was made before they realized Vincent Jackson was going to spit on a significant raise offer because it wasn't enough of a raise for him.

    Concur!

I think we should've used him in the red zone, especially close to the goal line if for no other reason, to draw a defender away form Gates or VJ but he was never going to beat out Jackson, Floyd or Nanee here, or even Buster when healthy so it's good that he's getting his chance.

He only caught 1 pass for 4 yards in the preseason, and I would expect that he will be a special teams ace & occasional offensive player in Jacksonville, but not much more.

Kassim was probably the receiver Denver didn't take seriously on that play. That's why he was so wide open on that post route.

Yep. And that just shows how DONE Brian Dawkins is. That was one of the worst post routes ever. No stem. No Head Fake. Just a rounded sloppy post. Dawkins should be benched for letting such a mediocre WR clown him like that.

    Oh yeah... Fuc.K Denver.
