Jaguars special teams ace Kassim Osgood was attacked along with a 19-year-old woman by the woman's ex-boyfriend in her Jacksonville home Monday night, according to Dan Scanlan of the Florida Times-Union.

The complete account of the incident from Scanlan is eye-opening.

Julian Armond Bartletto, 20, has been arrested on charges of aggravated battery, false imprisonment, armed robbery, burglary and violation of an injunction after the confrontation.

The woman Osgood was with wound up trading gunfire with Bartletto after having a gun pointed to her head. Osgood was pistol whipped. The woman was also dragged around and hit.

At one point, the woman tried to escape by leaping over a balcony to the floor below. Meanwhile, Osgood wedged a chair to the door in the room he was in and jumped out a second floor window to the lawn below. The woman and Bartletto then traded gunfire on the bottom floor.

Early in the process, Bartletto reportedly said, "What did that football player say to his girlfriend, it's a good day to die," in reference to ex-Florida player Chris Rainey.

Osgood, who signed with the Jaguars this offseason, reportedly escaped with only "minor bruises."

Well, what do you expect? Look at his hair. No wonder he got pistol whipped. Sounds like he needs to hang out somewhere that is a little more respectable like a strip bar or something.

Damn didnt see this or I would have saved a thread. WTF o wait NM all these cast off players suddenly getting the WTF attention I was happy to see go. So guess now its jus *a little* funny to mock their perils. Not tryin to make light of the fact KO had to save his own skin or anything. He did do that pretty well. I was most surprised to hear that the intruder had gotten to pistol whip and punch the cheerleader all before gettin around to PWing KO. I dont understand unless the guy was built like a LB why KO couldnt diffuse the situation. Or at least try to jump the guy while he was busy beating a defensless woman... And what is reported to happen next? As soon as he had the chance he bailed. I guess he does have a NFL career to look after though. On the bright side it sounds like he wasnt drunk by 11pm. *good for him* Or was that how he survived the jump wout injury?

I have to wonder if AJ knew Osgood was keeping bad company here in San Diego ..... hmmmm .... maybe letting Osgood walk was a good thing after all. Wow. I never thought about it this way.
