Will obviously miss some time... #Chargersluck

Time to bring up Herndon or Williams. It's not like we're contending for anything anyway.

Philip's production will also drop, but it doesn't matter. This so called # 1 offense is nothing but a sham anyway.

All you can do is laugh. All these injuries yesterday and throughout the season, it's unbelievable.

This is obviously very serious, hope Allen gets better and back on the field ASAP. He was really progressing this year and making a case to be a #1 wideout in this offense.

Why can't we look at other teams who don't have the constant injury bug. We've got to be doing something wrong!

Name a team that does not have a constant injury bug.
Each season another team is decimated by injuries.

I would suggest that we look instead to areas biggest hit by injuries. Arguably both lines, and the LBs.
Small LBs who are supposed to be fast, hitting people and ending up in piles. There will be injuries.
Lines. I might suggest that the level of talent on the line has an impact. A lazy lineman will block their guy towards another line man. That causes roll ups.

Maybe it just comes down to getting lucky and drafting the right players. This injury situation is getting beyond the ridiculous stage.

I can no longer believe that it is matter of luck, or there lack of! To back this up I would like to present a couple of very clear cases:

1- Orlando Franklin during his past tenure in Denver had only listed ONE game!

2- The often injured Ryan Mathews is seemingly still in one piece in Philly and is actually thriving!

These are just two cases from the top of my head. I can no longer subscribe to the freakishly bad luck theory, when this team has been a leader among the injury riddled NFL roster, for about 5 years and counting!

A former player (don't remember the name) that I overheard on the radio said that in his day, guys practiced like they played, and they didn't have all these injury issues. You wore pads, hit, and tackled on a daily basis, so you were game tough. It wasn't fun, and a lot of players complained, but they didn't get injured as much.

It's like our tackling problems. You can't just go through the motions during the week, and expect to be a monster on Sundays. If you want to be a good tackling team, then you actually have to spend time doing it. You need to practice like you want to play.

You do realize that most of these players are from the overprotected Millennial generation, right?

That's the irony.... The NFLPA wanted all the contact dialed back to protect their players, but it's really had the opposite effect.

I just saw on ESPN that Schefter is reporting that Allen had a surgical procedure and may be done for the year.

Ryan Matthews proves that with a better offensive line. running backs do better. Our line sucks and so did his performance.

Freakish injury, no one's fault, just landed awkwardly, nothing can be done in that situation, just seems to be in our DNA for something like this to happen.

Well, time for someone else to step out of the shadows and take advantage of the opportunity they are now presented.

Would like to think Inman has some consistent ability, now's the time to show it.

Don't understand why Tyrell Williams was over looked for Herndon.. I could be wrong here, but Williams made the 53 for a reason. He has talent, and should be auditioning for a spot on the 53 for next year.

I can vouch for that statement 100% ............

OK, different game, but still involved major body contact on a regular basis (sans any pad's etc), far less injuries than today's game, not even close in regards to knee reconstructions and soft tissue injuries.

Either something that today's players are putting into their body's on a regular basis is weakening the muscles or they just aren't prepared well enough through training regiments, isn't "just bad luck", that much I know.

Also hitting the IR with Allen is Branden Oliver and Tourek Williams. We've signed Javontee Herndon and Greg Ducre to the 53 man roster, also re-signed C JD Walton and we've resigned RB Dreamius Smith to the PS.

Let's just ******* mail it in for the sake of all Chargers fans..

No buying Brandon Oliver injury to IR. Just a stupid ploy to keep Donal Duck Butler on the roster for whoever the farg reason. Oh well, still loving the team's name and despising, hating, urinating on that ownership!

This is exactly it. The human body is an amazing machine. We need rest obviously to recover...BUT the hitting helps. It causes micro fractures in the bones and ligaments that then grow back stronger.

This is one of the reasons we are soft. An injury like KA...can't train against that. Half of these linemen injuries... You can. These guys aren't breaking down their bodies enough. If you hit hard 60% of the year, you're whole body will get stronger. If you only hit hard 16 times a year... You're in trouble when someone better than any of your teammates does it to you.

The other part of the equation is simple. Where would you place our OLine... Rank wise? 29-30?

I was approached by an ex football coach and he half jokingly told me to go try out for the practice squad. He said I could probably beat out a few of the guys for their position. Obviously not true...BUT put me in an NFL game and I bet I'll get injured pretty fast. Need years of refinement and care to be up to that level.

Secondly, If you're good... yOURE the one pushing people around. Have you ever rough housed with someone? Tell me what hurts more, pushing someone, overpowering them and pile driving them into the ground? Or being the one pushed around.

Our coaching is soft, our linesman are soft because they're not good and our weak coaching doesn't improve them.

Either draft high for linesman or get a good linesman coach like the patriots to train them up.

None of this will happen because our owner is incompetent. I've honestly haven't been more frustrated as a chargers fan, and I watched every game of that 1-15 season and Ryan leaf and friends.

MG will never excel in this team. When we trade him he will be a threat on a team like Dallas.
