In Houston, Kubiak seemed to coach a bunch of teams with a ton of talent but would always go 8-8. He has never done anything in the playoffs except beat the Bengals, whose coach is known as even more of a choker. One can argue that he ruined David Carr, as well, by putting him as a rookie behind one of the worst O-lines I have ever seen on a football field.

If anything, Kubiak seems to fit the Norv mold--an excellent offensive mind who cannot lead a football team. I would probably be more concerned if they decided to promote Del Rio to HC--a lot of his draft picks were questionable, but he always got 100% out of a scrappy Jaguar team.

I suppose so. Kubiak and Elway are BFFs.

UT rated the move a "B."
But IMHO Fox is an "A", Kubiak is a "B."
So (if "C" is a lateral move) I'd give the move itself a "D."

I wouldn't rate Fox an "A". He's kind of a poor man's Marty...he'll turn your team around but he's too conservative to win when it counts.

As for Kubiak, I'm hoping what Jake Plummer said is true in regards to his offensive philosophies clashing with Peyton's strengths.

I hope all this works out to the Bolts favor but only in a good way.

The reason I don't get this is in big part due to their OL. Kubiak is a ZBS guy through and through. He's got the most pure power blocking OL out there, with Vasquez, Franklin, even Clady.

I don't think that Kubiak is a good fit in Demver which is good for us as others mentioned. Who even knows if he will get the same squad. What ere the chances both Juilus and Demeryuss Thomas come back? And Manning looked old the last six weeks, wouldn't blame him if he retired.

I mean Kubiak hasn't had the best QB's. David Carr? Matt Schuab? Certainly not franchise QB's or even close. Back ups at best.

The fact he went 22-10 (2011-2012) with Schuab as a QB is quite impressive. He's never had an NFL roster this loaded and a QB like Peyton Manning. They have some decisions to make this off-season, so should be interesting how Denver develops in 2015.

But you forget that Kubiak was coaching Houston when Peyton was cut loose by Indy. Peyton wanted to go to Houston, but Kubiak said "I already have a QB", referring to Schaub.
