Late round sleepers this year?

    Assuming we've addressed RB and NT in the first 3 rounds... Who do you want the Chargers to take a flyer on between rounds 4 and 7? (our picks...4th, 5th, 5th comp, 7th)


    Some of my favorites...
    WR Blair White: 6'2 210, 4.42 40...projected 4th round.

    OT Kyle Calloway: 6'7 323, ...projected late 4th.

    TE Fendi Onobun 6'5 252, 4.48 40....projected late 5th.

    TE Michael Hoomanawanui: 6'4 270....projected 6th round.

    DE James Ruffin: 6'4 265, 4.73 40, 26 reps...projected late 6th.

    WR Kyle Williams: 5'11 190, 4.38 40....projected 7th-FA

    NT Travis Ivey: 6'4 341, 30 reps...projected 7th-FA

    DE Danny Batten: 6'3 246, 4.71 40, 30 reps....projected 7th.

    RB Alphonso Smith: 6'1 211, 4.38...projected 7th-FA

    Kevin Thomas, CB USC. 4.48 40. 19 reps. Apparently he was supposed to be a UDFA but his stock has risen and he's now a mid-round pick.

    Instead of Blair White, I'd go with Danario Alexander or Riley Cooper if available.

    A guy i really like is Sam Young, the RT from Notre Dame. He played really well before last years draft but decided to stay back and didn't do as well. He's 6-8, 305 and had a good senior bowl.

    Alexander's extreme durability issues, and his struggles to get separation due to the fact that he's such a long strider kept him off my list. But I get the appeal.


    I just have a man crush on Blair White.:lol: His build fits the NFL, his speed and quickness will give him separation, his hands are an A+ I wouldn't be surprised if he'd never dropped a single pass in college. But what truely sets him appart is his freakish toughness and work ethic, he's an AJ guy.

    That seems a little light for that height. Does he have a frame that can add weight? In comparison, McNeil is 6'7 336. So an inch shorted and 31 lbs heavier.

    I guess as a late round pick it would be worth a shot

    Any ILB sleepers? Cooper needs to be upgraded badly, and I know we have other needs, so his upgrade isn't coming early this year (Could have had it last year in rd 1)

    I like Jamar Chaney as sort of our "pass coverage ILB". A good compliment to the downhill hitter that Siler is.

    He's 6'1 245, runs a 40 in the mid 4.5's, and absolutely flys to the ball.
