I wonder what creative methods the online gambling sites will come up with to circumvent this restriction?

They (Congress) want to take away credit cards and US banks as money transfer agents.

The idea of using Western Union to send and receive monies would be an obvious choice.

Would it count under this bill?

    From that WP article:

I guess it would depend on whether Western Union falls under the 'electronic fund transfer' portion.

To me, it seems they are aiming more at traditional banks.

Yeah, if they do that I can see a situation where they set it up such that a person gets taxed essentially 'twice' when winning a wager amount.

For example, you make $1000 in online bets with a site. It gets taxed 5%, so that's $50.

Then, say you win $2100 on that $1000. The $2100 gets taxed another 5%, or $105.

OVER 45.5 is a boot and Philly -10.5 is a favorable bet (not as high %ages as the over). If you guys were planning on betting over I hope you did it last night because the OU is still climbing higher and higher. It could reach 50 pts :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek:
