It was attached to the port securities bill.

One main argument for it was that it would also cut down on money transfers offshore to parties that could be fronts for international terrorists.

They always use the security/terrorism angle to try to win favor don't they?

They couldn't win support by simply stating that they wanted to crack down on online gambling.

I bet Las Vegas also lent a hand in helping to get this thing through, as online betting is a direct threat to them.

Ok but don't go with Philly. I am thinking of nuking that bet if three of their starters in the secondary are inactive it will be a gametime decision I don't mind taking a 40 dollar loss. Go with OVER.

Whew... good morning everybody! Another weekend with too many losing tickets is in the books. Anyways, not to be a prick, but I don't really give a rats *** about not being able to gamble online. From an intelectual standpoint it seems totally absurd, but I don't care for politics so I'll try to keep my opinions to myself. If this **** actually goes down and our fellow gamblers can't bet the games they'd like I'm sure we can work something out. I mean we're all friends here and I wouldn't mind putting down a couple bets on someone's behalf (and it certianly wouldn't be the first time).

Anyways, in spite of my inability to pick football games it was a beautiful weekend up in Utah. I hope ya'll had better luck than I!

Paypay is super easy and I think it's hella cheap. I mean naturally it does create a paper trail, but unless we're talking like tens of thousands I can't see any harm.
