not sure about smith over russel, but definitely not lynch over peterson...adrian can catch but hes just too good breaking tackles for that to be an option. also ginn isnt anywhere on the WR list, he should be ahead of that higgins kid. also brandon siler is a top 5 ILB.

also can we get another canes player in there, maybe kareem brown as a top 5 DT? the guy is a beast

    MTL -

    You're fuggin' stoned.

Troy Smith is gonna suck as a pro QB.

The best player in this draft is a tie between Calvin and Okie's Peterson. Calvin gets the nod because AD has injury history. No way is ANY running back in this draft in Peterson's class.

Ask all 32 teams who were present at CMU's pro day today, 11 of which brought their offensive line coaches with them. Staley is the real deal. He is an olde schoole mo-f'in tackle who you cannot beat off the edge and he is a great run blocker and will only get better. My dream is to draft Staley put him at RT and move fatboy inside. Staley will be a starter week 1 of the NFL. If I were the Raiders I would love to get Calvin then Staley at #33.

BTW, these rankings are the official big board for GMs in Leisureworld. if ANY GM is found to be 'reaching' for a player by taking a lower ranked player over higher ranked of the same position, that GM will be penalized their first round pick next year. :icon_evil:

Why is it that I have a feeling that in this draft the term "reaching" has an enitirely different meaning? :icon_eek:

Hay guys I was checking out the footballsfuture blog

"At Central Michigan's Pro Day, tackle Joe Staley put up a 4.8 in the 40-yard dash, a 32-inch vertical jump, and a 9-foot-9 broad jump. Amazing number for someone weighing in at 6-foot-5 and 305-pounds. One scout said it was the "best all-around workouts I've seen by a big tackle in recent years" and added "that kid (Staley) does not last past the Top-20 picks"."

That was posted a day after I posted my comments on him. The real question is, could the anonymous scout be MTL?

If I were the GM of the dolphins I would have the bawls to take Staley at #9 overall :abq2:

At leisureworld we are gawds of college football we don't listen to suggestions we give them :beat:

Scuse me for not agreeing with your rankings. I disaagree with several on here.

I know that you dont believe that Troy Smith has ANY shot at being picked before Quinn and Russell. I like Smith too but it just wont happen.

Eric Wright as the 2nd best CB?

You guys need to do this list sober.

Thanks for putting in the time but ill use my own list.

If oakland, detroit, tampa were smart they would trade down pick up a late 1st, early 2nd and get Smith. Its the legend of Troy all over again. I have a feeling Miami picks him early in the 2nd.

short shuttle numbers aint bad. and he put up solid broad jump and vert numbers, but those numbers go up by adding muscle to his skinny legs.

he is a red zone weapon and wouldnt be running no 40 yard routes anyways. he'll be a good player I think.

We already have his kind on the team so i see no use for him in San Diego. He does have good hands but thats about it.

Another USC WR that that could very possibly be a bust.

    YouTube video of Florida/FIU brawl

Merriweather is #19, slamming a helmet into a player, then stomping on guys when they are on the ground. He takes pot shots at players that can't get at him. That's cowardly. I don't want that turd anywhere near our team.

The guy slamming the helmet into a player was not #19. Think it was #26.

The only thing I saw Meriweather do was a sort of half-assed stomp at a player on the ground, but it didn't look like it even connected.

I look at that video and think that Meriweather's rep is a little undeserved. I saw far worse conduct on both sides than what Meriweather did.

I think that was an instance of mob mentality. I don't think it's necessarily a reflection on an individual's character. If Meriweather was an instigator, or if he did something truly despicable, like rip a player's helmet off and stomp on his head then I could understand everyone flipping out.

Clearly, his behavior cannot be condoned, but I'm not sure it's enough to label him a "bad guy."

are you joking? what you do is a reflection of your character. meriweather is an ***. you even see what happened at the miami/LSU peach bowl 2 yrs ago?
