Neal suffered a fractured fibula and, in all likelihood, is lost for the season. There is no word on Merriman or Rivers, though Merriman was forced to sit down the second half.

That might be it for Neal this season and perhaps his career.

He's done for the season for sure, wow.............

The team will miss Neal's leadership, the guy was a warrior.

Pinnock played well while in, hopefully he keeps it up.

Pinnock just may shock you , he looked very good the last couple of TC I was at. He sure has better speed and hands and is better running the ball.

Nobody will out block Neal but Pinnock has worked hard so we will see.

Does this clear the way for that fullback you want, Peyton Hillis?

hopefully  i wouldn't be upset with schmitt either as he is a better blocker but hillis is just so versatile, would give norv a lot of options with the offense

Love Lo... hope he can somehow make it back next year. If not, he's a HOF'er and I'm glad we got to watch the dude block for our boy.

Manu will also see heavier backfield use I'm sure. Also time to see if Scott Chandler can somehow get involved in the offense.

That's sad news. Pinnock will have to step up, and this may open up a backfield combo of LT and MT.

Pinnock gets a bad rap. He isnt the blocker Neal is, but he is better at other things.

Neal didnt tear up his knee. I dont see why this would end his career. Its not the big bone in his leg. He could come back from this if he chooses to.

The team will probably miss Neal's leadership more than anything. I'm not worried about Pinnock - he looked good in there blocking today. I don't know what actually goes on behind closed doors at Charger Park, but it really seems like Neal is the primary leader of the team.

Can we now see Turner and LT in the same backfield. Might as well let Turner block because they are not letting him do much else.

This sucks alright and I don't see anyway how we'll see him again this season. Though he will be on the side line helping out any way he can !!!!

Hope he'll be back next season!!!

While I don't wish injury on anyone, and get healthy soon LO, this might be a blessing in disguise.

It'll force the Chargers to re-think how they run the ball. It might mean both LT and MT in the game at the same time. It might mean we see more of Naanee from the FB position where he doubles as a real receiving threat.

Not sure it necessarily means we see lots more of Pinnock, at the end of the day Lo was just a blocker at this stage and even then he was not in as often as he used be.

He will also be a strong presence in the locker room and it might be a bit of a 'win it for Lo' thing.

It sucks for Lo 'cuz he's such a warrior & wants to be on the field. He'll be back, IMO - not this year, but next. In the meantime, he'll still be in the locker room & on the sidelines being a vocal leader.

Good luck & a speedy recovery, Lo!

I watched him "pogo stick" off the field, and then collapse. This seriously bums me out. Great player and a super nice guy.

It would all depend just how severe his fracture is it seems to me. I sure am not a doctor but who knows, he may be good to go for the PO's.

It takes a real man to hop off the field with a broken leg.

We will miss Lo in the huddle, but believe me, he will still be there on the sidelines dropping knowledge and pumping dudes up.

Lo will be back from this, no doubt in my mind. Time for Pinnock to do his thing. Also, I'd love to see Manu sline up at FB more.
