So he lowered his standards? McClain is a very good, young, versatile fullback. I would assume that Lorenzo excepted a lesser role in order to get on the team?

Happy for Lo - it had to feel weird not to be smacking into somebody this summer.

As mentioned elsewhere - some "featured tailback" is going to have some serious explaining to do if he can't get a 1,000 yard season running behind Lo-Lo!

At least he went to a team I like.

I though the Bucs would be a good team for him since Alstott retired.

McGahee ought to be a fairly happy camper about now and Lorenzo will be with a team where he won't be carrying the whole load at FB, splitting time with McClain. If Lorenzo performs well enough to take the lion's share of snaps, Baltimore's running attack just got upgraded.

The Baltiimore Sun refers to Neal as versitile. I think that's a little optimistic. He can block and he can pick up a yard when needed.

He scared the shat out of me when pass catching, he couldn't break tackles and he had no moves. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy and he's good at what he does but versitile? Glad he has a home.

LoNeal is there for one reason. The Sun guy is a little behind cure on Lorenzo's current abilities.

I am also glad somebody picked up Lorenzo, thankfully we don't play the Ravens this season. (I don't think they will make the post-season this time around) I would not enjoy watching him putting a big hurt on one of our defenders.

As for the Chargers without Lorenzo...we became a little less predictable on offense. Throwing to Neal in the flat on short yardage situations always drove me nuts, as the ball would either clank off of his hands or he would catch it for no gain or a short loss.

Agreed I got real tired of the opening play of every other game being a drop swing pass to LO LO. He's one of my fav players of all time though and I wish him well. My wife still has his Bengals jersey:icon_rofl:.

Excellent point! So far, glad we don't have to play the Ravens. Let's face it, Lo Neal was not a pass catcher, run in the flat kind of guy. Teams knew it and would drool at the prospect of him being the receiver.

Pinnock, Sproles, Hester do add that unpredictability factor, coming out of the backfield for swing/screen passes that will keep a defense honest and open it up for our receivers. Think back to the Air Coryell days when we had 5 possible targets for a pass. Should be interesting!

...Yeah I wasn't too crazy about his pass-catching, route-running or YAC skills either. Versatile doesn't fit him at all. I am however very happy that he found a home. Kind of figured Cam might wind up with him.

He will of retired by the time we play the Ravens again, and they are not a playoff caliber team right now.

Well, they're going to use him up plenty. Last I remember, Bal wasn't exactly a pass heavy offense. As well, I am glad he landed on a team.
