I'm not overly superstitious, but this stat is a bit alarming. :icon_eek:

I'm also not ready for no LT. :icon_sad:

Its just being unlucky. I will be the first one to call bullsh!t on the "LT's decline bandwagon". Actually LT hasnt really lost anything. You can see when he ran last year before his injury that he is still the man. He has just been unfortunate to get a few nick nak's on the way he will be fine.

I mean seriously I dont remember the last time I saw a guy win back to back rushing titles and an MVP and be in his decline. Its just a stupid statement.

little premature to think he's on the 'decline'

    LT’s decline doesn’t doom Chargers

The decline might be starting but I doubt it will be anywhere near as pronounced as Shaun Alexanders'.

LT will still have 2-3 1200+ yards 12+ td seasons before he's done in 2011.

BUT, this is now Philip's team, and since he'll be here way longer than LT that's a good thing.

Philip, Gates, Chambers (for a while), Jackson, (hell, maybe even Davis contributes a catch or two) are the future (and present) offense of this team

Good post. Thing is, most running backs lose their skills quickly, Alexander is the rule rather than the exception. So IMO there IS cause for concern with LT.

Hate to say it, but it this team could really use a banger like Michael Turner. We can't win games just by spreading it out and having Philip wing the ball all over the place. We still need to grind out games with the run when necessary, especially in December and January.

LT can still break out and have his best year ever, then What will Pewter have to say?

The LT is browning in the toaster talk is a bit premature. He's had similar problems early in his career and come out of it. He has had separated ribs courtesy of a Raiduh dog pile, one sprained ligament and a couple of toe jams. Even rookies get a little banged up when they are colliding with guys who weigh an extra 100 lbs. With an extra day to treat his foot he should be OK.

Yes, and I'm sure he'll bounce back once again this season, but one of these years he's not going to
