Not that it matters since we did win....

If you look closely at the tape (the one on NFL.com titled "NFL GameDay: Titans vs. Chargers analysis" is a good one) you'll see that LT scored just as 55 hit him... the ball passes the plane.

    just a small inane observation

I thought the same thing when I initially saw the replay. Not that it mattered the second effort removed any doubt.

Imagine the outrage if the second effort failed. We were out of timeouts for challenges.

I think your little yellow ball thing is to small. I see the tip of the ball across the line in that shot.

look at the closer look, that's not the tip of the ball, it's a combination on the titan logo on the helmet, the titan's facemask, shadow and LT's glove(hand), he's grabbing the ball from the tip bending his hand backwards so the tip of the ball would not be visible

    A little bit.

A lot of guys I've talked to that were at the game really give Manu a heap of credit. He kept LT upright after the hit from the Titans LB. Without Manu "catching" LT, we might not have scored.

    No fuking way.

FG. Prevent. Titan TD, OT, Titan ball on coin toss, we go home.

That would have been fuked up Morty ball.

All I know is, that's a freaking great play. I mean, it's one of those plays that epitomizes the game. A playoff game in the balance, an NFL Legend leaping over the pile, a desperate young defender rising to hit him at the goal line...

Oh, the drama of it all.

All I know is I was jumping around like a crazy dude for a few minutes. Man that felt good.

I've got to admit .. I think I would have gone for the field goal if I was the coach. It puts you up by 7. The difference I would have had is to continue to put pressure on Vince Young. Something Marty or Wade would not have done.

I liked that Norv did both. Went for it and Ted brought the heat on D. Play to win. That was a nice change.

Amen. It was such a nice feeling leading up to the game knowing that we actually had a chance to win for once.

Man, after watching that video, he could have EASILY scored just running a sweep to the right, no problem. But I'm just Monday morning QBing. I didn't think he got in on the 1st leap, no. But the reach over, no question.

In all the replays and all the comments about this TD, nobody has ever made mention of Manumaleuna pushing LT back towards the goal line. If not for Manu doing that, LT wouldn't have gotten back in.

Nobody has mentioned it but #86 should be given a lot of credit for that push.

You are right, it helped him keep balanced enough to surge forward.....good catch.
