This POS must go. No excuses. We can't allow Cam to find another job in another zip code. Marty is a choking POS, and I refuse to accept mediocrity as status quo. Fuq this ********.

AJ, prove you are THE MAN and ****-can this dinosaur IMMEDIATLY.

For the sake of argument, Why? Cam did not call his best game tonight IMO.

That said, I will not be surprised to see Marty let go, or simply retire. Though this loss was NOT his fault.

even though this loss was not apparently his fault (maybe his fear of loosing tranfered to his players :icon_shrug: ) maybe it's time for him to go if we wan't to win in the playoffs

As much as I feel the players were responsible for this loss... I also believe Marty's time has come and gone. For whatever reason, it just doesn't appear that he'll ever get the elusive ring. My feeling going into these playoffs with this team was: "If not this year... then when?"

He did what he could here. Turned a perrenial loser into a contender.

For the record: I don't believe Marty lost this game.

That certainly wasn't prevent on the Caldwell reception though. But prior to halftime? Yeah... that was lame.

I won't put this game on the coaches. They all did their jobs. The players **** the bed.

I too don't think this one is on Marty...but his time has come, how do you field the best bolt team ever and not win?

With that said, WR corp needs an overhaul and 'character' issues, both on and off the field, needs to be addressed! I know I'm dreaming, but do everything possible to keep the Burner!

I'm not sure this is the case .. Marty had left some of the play calling to both coords which honestly should have been enough to win the game. In my mind, since he did that, he has to take responsibility for the actions of the players on the field. The stupid penalties and mistakes are directly on him. I think we are a good team with Marty as head coach. We need to find someone who can step it up a notch.

If Marty gets the axe I sure hope we can find someone better than Cam. He just strikes me as a Norv Turner clone. Good OC but bad head coach.

    So who's available?

Yup. Cam is soft, we need someone who is intense and YOUNG. Like 35 years or younger.

    EC .....

I'm not mad at Marty, as I don't think it was his fault the Chargers lost this game, but it's time for him to go.

Regardless of the cause, a team that has earned home field advantage throughout the playoffs can NOT lose the first game and have everything stay the same.

Marty preaches ball security, playing with your head, "one play at a time" .... and this team did NONE of that. There were very FEW coaching decisions that one can point to and argue it's "Marty's fault" but the totality of what happens falls on Marty's shoulders.

It's time. Marty should be fired tomorrow morning.

BTW: Did you see my G'ma today?

Coaches are supposed to have players ready to play and there were only a handfull of players that showed up today. We obviously weren't prepared to handle the playoff atmoshpere, we played with a lack of disclipline, made poor decisions, and couldn't execute the fundamentals. To me, that's coaching.

Chargers were leading and winning the game when Marty didn't have the headsets on... next pictures I see is Marty with headsets on and I knew the Chargers were in trouble. He could not resist interjecting and every instinct move he makes in the playoffs is never good. He is too predictable...

The Patriots did not win this game....

    The Chargers lost this game....

The team didn't do the things that Marty highlights .... the things he preaches. Has the message gone stale? Do the players tune him out?

That's what their play on the field suggests.

    It's time.

I agree with the ending of your post. If Marty had his headset on and intervening, he probably would of just ran the damn ball. With that said, running the ball was the only consistent part of our game. LT and Turner were all over their asses!
