Anyone else notice how much air time McCree got in all the Adrian Peterson highlights? He was the Charger that got juked in every one of Adrian's long runs. I used to think McCree was a strength on our Defense but man I'm having second thoughts now.

Our safeties are made of paper and are actually cardboard cut-outs there just to try and confuse the enemy.

Other than that they serve no other purpose (and our best SS is out with a hamstring- #23).

Positions to conisder in the offseason.
    1. Saftey
    2. D-line depth
    3. ILB
    4. CB (as always)
    5. WR (when its confirmed that Jackson is a bust)

4 of the top 5 are defense. And I would add Ted Cottrell to the top if he actually played a position.

D-Line depth I don't think is the problem so much as our depth is being injured at the same time as our front DL

Safeties, yeah. Mcree needs to go. Weddle starts and at this point I don't even trust AJ to find us a good safety.

We really should have just kept Jue. What is with McCrap lining up in the slot over a WR? Jue had good man to man skills at least.... McCree sucks man to man. Hanestly Jue is better than McCree.

Also I was begging AJ to draft Sidney Rice as was RIP and it is clear who the better WR will be. Rice is a full year younger than Davis as well. The reason I bring this up is because it is clear why AJ brought in McCree for 5 million a season and that is because he thought we were a couple pieces away from a championship which was dead wrong. Same thing with Rice as Rice was considered more "raw" than Davis and just turned 21 not that long ago so he is a pup. Wait until he fills out his 6'4 frame and give him 2-3 years he is going to be in the top 15 in receiving yards and touchdowns every year.

:icon_rofl: Funny, Mcree didn't look any worse than the rest of this sorry performing team...and Weddle? He didn't do a damn thing today, he was even less.
Funny how everything was fine last year, and right up until week two of this year...now all the jokers in here have the fix.
THere's only one fix, and it's a HC.

Really? I think McCree is the opposite of an ankle biter.

First let me say that I do think he's a very good safety. My problem with him is that he makes poor decisions. He goes for the big hit instead if wrapping up the runner (ala ankle biting). I saw several times that he could have wrapped up Peterson, but got juked when he tried to hit him.

Hart is an adequate safety, nothing more.

One more thought. I know many around here might disagree, but I don't think Peterson runs for 296 on us if we still had the ultimate ankle biter, Donnie Edwards.

Peterson would have used Donna like a speed bump.

But he wouldn't have got 296 yards due to sore ankles. :icon_tease:

You're right. Donna could have held AD in check to only 295 yards.

Yeah, but Peterson's ankles would really be hurting him now, and he wouldn't have sole possession of the new all time single game rushing record.

    Your right on all accounts.
At least Donnie was a solid tackler...I saw his replacement getting juked out of his socks all day long. In fact Peterson made this whole defense look like a bunch of high schoolers.

I saw Donna trailing in coverage on two highlights .... including one for another Favre TD pass.

So based on "two highlights" you know who was supposed to be covering who?
Fact is your making an assumption based on knowing nothing...other than "I saw two highlights"...:icon_rofl:

I saw him trail in coverage all last year. Par for the course.

Donna is an overpaid Ankle Biter.

Donna is a speed bump. He made 3 plays behind the LOS in the last two years he was with us. Lost a step in '05 and didn't get it back.

    Overpaid, overrated.

It's hard to defend the run when 4 out of the 11 players on your defense tackle like women. At least Donnie wrapped up.

There's little doubt your an excellent AJ party line repeater...but we're now finding out AJ isn't nearly as smart as we all thought...time to start thinking for yourself!

I watched enough of Edwards get run over, last two years and this year as well. Overpaid, overrated.

I can name 10 ILB's better than what we've got. What's your point?

Donnie sucked last year, that's why he's gone but if you want downfield tackles, he's your guy. Yesterday would he would have helped? Maybe. Doesn't change the fact he was getting beat all over the field in KC yesterday either.

    Concur
Its a team loss, Donnie's specialty has always been pass coverage not run stopping. Wilhelm's getting better but yeah he needs some more time. Hell we might've needed Kiel, who at least was a run stopper, more at that last game then we needed Donnie
