Dude, Dflo, Hart, and McCree need to go. Maybe if McCree remembers how to be an effective safety he can stay.

Unfortunately that might have been the only way McCree could stop Peterson. I watched the game again and on several of his long runs, McCree completely missed the tackle.

Yep. Playbook AFC - a damn good "coaches film" and X's and O's show on the NFL Network showed some HORRIBLE angles taken by our two wonderful starting safeties - and their "whiffs" in attempting to tackle the Vikes RB's.

That show should be repeated again before Sunday, so it's a MUST SEE by anyone that wants to view a few clips on the problems SD's defense had in Minny.

A lot of people were missing tackles last Sunday. By long runs I'll assume you mean. AP was into the last line of defense and McCree didn't live up to his responsibility.

I agree, but I also know that we are showing more aggression on the D. When they play this defense to their ability, they will shut you down.
It reminds of of the old Stiller D when they had Greg Lloyd. I see Merriman as our Lloyd, but he will be much better.

By the way Merriman is my favorite player, I love hard nosed, kick your *** defense. Nothing better than a good hard lick to a star, even if it may be a little late. That's football to me.:bolt:

Then you must hate the way the Chargers defense is now. Cottrell has made this defense soft.

Our D, just as our O has played some good football at times. Last year is over but I do like some of the changes that were made. Our D is only lacking two real good safeties, last week, at least it's over and now we have a new opportunity ahead of us.:bolt:
