I've always shared a bond with Max McGee. He was so hung over the day of the game that he could hardly see straight and his head was the size of a watermelon. He'd caught few passes during the season. My first year of college I was having a horrible time in a chemistry class, mostly because the prof was a recent Hungarian refugee and couldn't pronounce the chemistry vocabulary for beans. My friends and I were looking for a D at best. We decided to get together the night before the final to study and maybe avoid disaster. We gave up early and played a drinking game called Cardinal Puff instead-with Colt 45. The morning of the test I was so hungover I could hardly walk. I wrote a B on the Harvard National Final. Got a C for the Class.
