I'm starting to hear more and more murmurs about a downtown stadium for the Bolts...something in the vicinity of Petco. It would be awfully hard for the city to deny that Petco has had a very positive impact both economically and culturally on downtown, though I'm sure Aguirre will find a way to sue the Chargers into submission.

There was talk about building one in conjunction with the convention center but haven't heard that talk recently. I thought any place in the city was essentially dead right now because of their financial woes. Unless the Chargers bought a large parcel of land and built it themselves.
