I peruse other teams' forums a lot, and it's pretty much the same everywhere.

The same complaints after a loss.

Also, complaints after a win, if the win isn't good enough. I.E. winning by a last second FG if the team is favored by 10 points.

The same complaints about a particular team's weaknesses. If the fans of each NFL team's forums are to be believed, 28 out of 32 teams have problems with the coaching, the playcalling, the OL blocking, the DL, the pass rush, the pass defense, the run defense, the secondary, the LBs, the safeties, the special teams, etc.

There are pretty much only two teams who have happy fans all year, and both were almost unhappy today.

Hah - those guys are awesome - one guy loses his mind, renounces the team says he's gonna become a steeler fan and they tell him to take a hike  one thing to be upset, quite another to bail on your team when the going gets tough.

Then he comes back, says "just kidding i'm staying a giant fan" and compares the gnats to AIDS "but right now not the good kind:

    He reminds me of someone...

Wow, someone on that board compared being a Giants fan to having AIDs. They even commented that it wasn't the good type of AIDs either. Wow, just wow.

Here's another good quote from the meltdown over on that board.
There's the problem right there. Giant fans don't even realize that NFL football games are 60 minutes, not 48.

Giants by 3.5, which is pretty much even. The 3.5 is usually due to being the home team.

Pretty much echoes what they were saying in the stands and in the parking lot.

They were really eating their own, but they were pretty cool to us. Go figure.

Exactly - only a couple of real jerks after the game, & they only wanted to be tough guys from a distance.

It was beautifully obvious that She-li is not a fan favorite & that they knew that they were phuc'd when we got the ball back with 2+ mins. on the clock & a timeout. BoltFanDC & I just looked at each other & smiled. The Giants' fans had their heads in their hands.

    Poetic. I nearly wept. :icon_twisted:

I'm sending Archie a fruit basket & thank you card.

Considering the way the Giants defense stopped our offense the two previous possessions, having their defense try to do it again was mostly sensible.

Most NFL QBs would have a lot of difficulty driving their team to a game-winning TD in the final two minutes.

    Most.

    Rivers isn't "most".

Although, yeah, I can see Giants fans questioning the decision to not throw it to the endzone on 3rd down and try for a TD, like our own fans questioned Norv's decision not to try for a TD on 3rd down in the Baltimore game and kick a FG instead.

What I saw them questioning was their faith in their QB & why they don't have PR playing for them.

IF PR had gone to NY, I honestly believe that they'd have AT LEAST one more ring & Strahan would still be playing. Maybe even Tiki.

True. They might have also beaten us those two games we played against them in the past 5 seasons.

Don't forget the brilliant reverse to Jackson on 3rd and 5 in the 4th quarter........that probably should have cost us the game, and we'd be having a very different discussion on which messageboard is melting down right now.

So true. It also would have looked ugly if they would have scored a TD on the Rivers INT too. Thank goodness that didn't happen!

When I bet the game yesterday it ended up -5.5 for the Giants which means money was pouring in on NY for the line to go up. There are some very happy bookmakers here in Vegas.

The worst offensive call of the day, by far. I thought that the rest of the game was called pretty well. Just enough run to keep them a little honest. I could have seen a few more screens, but otherwise a good game plan.

    Epic. :abq2: :abq1:

They sure are letting that whining thread starter have it over there.

Some guys over here should be thankful they aren't Giant fans, that's fer damn sure.

I imagine they would have used Naanee for that one, given his experience at QB in college. That would have been a great call, one we haven't seen this year, that I remember. Second-PR is beginning to remind me of Fouts in the way he moves the ball down field in such big chunks.
