There were about 4 other times in other games where he was inches away from a sack, but the QB released the ball just before he could do it.

I knew Lights Out was almost all the way back while watching the KC game. Merriman lined up versus the right tackle, in Shaun Phillips' usual spot. The Chiefs had called a running play and gave it to Larry Johnson, who was trying to sweep around the left tackle. Merriman flew all the way across and tackled Larry Johnson from behind just as he was about to sweep around. It was either no gain, or a slight yardage loss.

I hadn't seen Merriman do that since the 2007 regular season.

    QFT

He's still working his way back but it's nice to see him getting better every single week - looking more and more like his old self.

Freakin' amazing. But I still don't think he's 100% yet, we'll see this weekend. I think he needed to go against KC and Jokeland to get his confidence back

I'm glad he's rounding back into form for ours and his sake, but I am still pissed at him for not having surgery when he should have. He would have been in form from the first game of the season.

Two sacks all season against a really horrible team. I disagree... give him an extension with a monster bonus. He's back and he proved it!!!

If he puts Eli and McNabb into the turf a few times, then Merriman will show some hope. As of now, you are saying "I beat up a tweaker on the streets while he was faded... bring on Floyd Mayweather!!!"

True. Had he undergone the surgery in February 2008 instead of September 2008, he still would have missed the 2008 season, but been 100% for the beginning of this season.

That last sack was a gimmie... the left tackle was either playing the stunt or thought the RB was going to shift... PR could have made the same play.

He does look to be playing much more reckless again... which is what I think we all want and expect.
