Do you think we would of been champs, if Brees was our qb last year? I honestly think we would of. Brees is a champ wherever he goes and he sure made some noise in NO. I am all for Rivers, I mean last year was his first year. Rivers was for reals last year too. I am excited to see him at QB this year with Norv esp. My point is do you think we would of been champs? :icon_toast:

The season ended not because of our offense or our QB play. It died for other reasons.

love it.... But still, what Rivers threw Gates the ball twice in the 2nd half? Brees kept the team marching without MMC, only imagine what Brees could of done with a real LT, not that other bum!

No, we were 14-2 under Rivers, and that loss to the Pats was due to defensive stupidities.

Brees would have done fine on our team, but I don't see him bringing us back against the Bengals, Denver and Seahawks.

Brees' newfound incredibleness sure didn't help the Saints win games against the AFC last year. And not being able to beat the AFC would have been a VERY bad quality in a Chargers quarterback, don't you think?

I don't believe Brees would have won the AFCW let alone get us into the playoffs but we'll never know.:bolt2:

Is it true that "If you don't use it... you lose it?"

Is is this a serious question? :icon_shrug:

I agree. I don't see Brees leading us back on the road against Cincy, Denver, and Seattle.

Did anyone see Rivers doing it before he did. It is not outside the realm of possibility that Brees would have done the same.

Rivers threw the ball twice to Gates in the second half because Gates was being doubled and tripple teamed.

This left our wide receivers in man to man coverage that they couldn't beat to save their lives.

And when they beat it, they dropped the ball.

With everything that happened in that game, Rivers did move the ball in the final seconds of the game for what I thought was a very makeable field goal.

What? The king **** stirrer is stirring more ****? What a shock.

Brees is a champ wherever he goes, even though he's never won a championship. Amazing logic.

Brees **** a brick in the NFC title game. If he played even decently in that game, the Saints would have been in the Super Bowl.

54 yard field goal, swirling winds, cool night air. Makeable? Sure. Likely? No. Rivers made some plays to get us into field goal range, but it was hope and pray field goal range.

I didn't see our receivers have difficulty getting open against the Pats. They beat the Pats' DBs like a drum They just didn't hold onto the ball.

FU guys Brees would have converted that early 4th and 11 that ****** Marty went for. :abq2:

That and Brees would have kicked Wade in the nuts preventing him from going prevent before the end of the first half.

AND Brees would have shut a sorry POS like Caldwell down preventing even furthur damage.

Check Norris doesn't have **** on Drew Brees.

Had we beat the Partiots, I think we could have beat the Ponys and the Bears.
We lost that game because of too many stupid errors!!:icon_evil:

I like both of them. But AJ's decision was right Brees had to leave.
Philip has shown that he is Chargers's future winning 14-2.
Drew Brees could have only 12-4, maybe one playoff win.
I would have liked a SB game NOS vs. Bolts.
But like draft pick, talk again after 3 years.
and Rivers ist the best out of his age. Forget Ben and Eli.
    We'll make it 2007 or 2008.
