Michael Turner's no second-string back

    How would you like to be Michael Turner? You'd be averaging 7.6 yards per carry this season, having outrushed LaDainian Tomlinson on Sunday. You would have averaged 5.9 yards per run last year, and 5.1 yards the year before that.

    And you'd be nothing but a backup for the foreseeable future, stuck behind the great LT in San Diego.

    I asked Turner how he deals with what would be a highly frustrating situation for most of us. "This is my third year in this role," he said. "I'm over that. I'm just trying to take advantage of every opportunity I get."</blockquote>
