News: David Boston is making the most of his latest bid to revive a once-promising NFL career. The 29-year-old was one of the league's best young receivers, but two knee operations and suspensions derailed the emerging star during subsequent stops in San Diego and Miami. Now, he's in training camp with the Buccaneers for the second straight summer and has a good chance to not only make the team, but wind up as the starting flanker. "He might be our best receiver at times out here," coach Jon Gruden said. "The son of a gun is 235 pounds, and when he catches that ball going north and south, he's going to be a force to be reckoned with. He's doing a heck of a job."
Analysis: Boston has reached the top of the Bucs' depth chart and is in the driver's seat to start over Michael Clayton, Ike Hilliard and Maurice Stovall. He's now officially worth a late-round pick in all Fantasy leagues. Definitely keep an eye on him throughout the preseason.

I remember I liked Boston in those days. But he never was a
really Charger in my eyes. So away is away and I wish him well and
healthyness. Being Nr. 1 at TBB won't help. They stay put
at 4th place; with or without BostOn.

Great Googly Moogly Dude! You must be too young, but I would submit that two immortals by the names of Ron Billingsly and Leon Burns make Boston look like missing the last drip before you put your wienie away.

OT: David Boston arrested for DUI

    http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10316668

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver David Boston was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after police found him passed out behind the wheel of a sport utility vehicle.

The 29-year-old was found slumped over the steering wheel of a red Range Rover on Thursday evening, police said.

The SUV was running and in drive. An officer woke up Boston, who said he was headed to Tampa International Airport.

Boston was arrested after a field sobriety test. Initial breath tests did not indicate alcohol but other test results are still pending, police said.

Boston was transported to the Pinellas County jail and later released.

Knee injuries have sidelined Boston for most of the past three seasons.

Boston was the eighth pick in the 1999 draft and has 315 receptions for 4,699 yards and 25 touchdowns in 75 career games with Arizona, San Diego and Miami. He was selected for the Pro Bowl in 2001, when he was with the Cardinals.

A telephone message left by with Boston's agent, Mitchell Frankel, was not immediately returned Friday afternoon.

Ah yes, Bobby Beathard. The king of "two second rounders from Division II are just as good as a single first rounder from a premier Division I"

I remember a home game when DBo was w/AZ...That guy killed us up and down the field. I thought for a brief moment that this guy was the hybrid WR/TE that you want on your team...Speed forward to him coming to San Diego, and all past thoughts go down the toilet like a big ******.

Screw DBo, I hope he gets more time in jail than Lindsay Lohan.
