Another Spurs fan in the hizzle? Yesssssssssss...:icon_banana:

I've only seen the Spurs live once. That was in Oakland vs. the Warriors. They beat them badly, natch.

Current starting 5 are Vaughn and Ginobili, guards. Bowen and Duncan at Forward, Oberto at center.

You will miss seeing Mr. Magnifique, Monsieur Tony Parker, at Point Guard. He's got an ankle injury.

Duncan is Mr. Fundamental. Owns a kind of sky hook, bounces off the backboard. He is often double-teamed. He is the offensive rebound master. Usually gets double-doubles. Starting forward in the All-Star Game.

Bowen has been nicknamed "the Disease" or something similar. He is the foundation of the Spurs D, one of the best in the league. Good luck scoring when the Disease is defending. When he does score, he likes to shoot from the corners.

Ginobili is a scoring machine like Dunkie. He loves to drive the paint and layup, often off-balance whilst falling. Shots find the basket anyways. Tries to shoot treys and they fall on occassion. Sometimes gets on a hot streak with intense speed and plays like he's out of his mind. Uncle Chuckie likes him (and the Spurs) alot.

All I know about Oberto and Vaughn are that they are good shooters. Perhaps Toby can enlighten you on their skills.

Brent Barry, the 3-point shooting specialist, is out with a calf sprain.

The game was supposed to be on ESPN tonight, but they changed their stoopid schedule.

Spurs are currently beating the Raptors at the half, 57-46, with 7:11 left in the 3rd.

    I am quite jealous.:icon_mrgreen:

Purty good description, Darlin, 'cept Manu is a VERY GOOD three point shooter, as is Finley, Barry, Horry and *surprise* Bowen!!

Stoudamire is startinta get more involved with the offense, and when Parker and Barry come back, the Spurs are gonna be...well...THE SPURS!!

As you say, Manu has greatly improved his three-point shooting. Bowen still likes those corners, right? Now, he adds the treys from out there?

I havent seen Stoudamire play yet. But, it seems he gives them a boost. I miss Tony playing immensely. Watching him is the shite.

Oh, yeah, I didnt forget that. I think he was looking for things to watch for in a game.

I will never, EVER, forget partying when the Spurs came to the AT and T Center to celebrate the championship. I high-fived Vaughn on the way in. Sis and I were in Spurs heaven the entire time. Watched the boat parade on the big screens while waiting.

Our cousin does all the Spurs balloon decorations. They did a fine job on the Center that day/night.
