Just saw this at CBS Sports RapidReports.......

If the charges have been dropped, then AJ doesn't have cause to get rid of him now..... not for off field behavior, anyway.

Well, have you looked at the depth at the WR position lately?........ a lot of question marks at the moment.

I still like his ST playability. Him and Siler and all the new guys I think we will see better kick return coverage ez. The fumbled snaps/line breakdowns remain to be seen.

Unfortunatly Legs hasnt done as much as he could have by now with working and waiting his way into the play rotation from the ST squad. I think he has more to show at WR, its not like hes another KO at Wideout. I like what I see from him as a blocking receiver. I dont think we are done giving him a chance on the Offense.

I didnt pay that close of attention to the ST roster, but I do remember being short of WRs from the get go and Legs getting an opportunity by being the 4th option and eventualy moved around from 2 and 3. How I wish he would have capitalized on this golden opportunity. But back to the roster, starters were gone/went out and the #s on the depth chart shifted accordingly. The guys like Legs got pulled from ST for more active duty on the Offenses Starting Roster. I cant say for sure this happend with Naanee, but I cant say that one year of ST production from him after 2 good years makes him expendable. The fighting charges could have, but time is an enemy and a ally.

And its not like some of the new guys who are lookin to play one of the 2 gunners, which isnt what Legs does anyway wont be able to still help us with getting down the field and covering the EPIC punts from mike. Watching the 08 WC game vs the Colts last night, what a Game Scifi had. And Cooper and Sproles and CC for gettin away with a out of bound diving catch that would have overturned if reviewed by Dungy.

If this is fact i.e. that the alleged charges were BS then I am all for bringing this guy back, all he needs it time on the field. Having said that I take VJ, M80, Crayton ahead of him. It could be between he and the new kid on the block Vincent Brown. Legs might have the advantage of being a capable STs contributor.

Well, Naanee is a free agent, and hadn't made that big an impact. It was natural to assume with an off the field incident of that nature, that AJ would not look to resign him. The fact that the charges were dropped, may change that, but it might not.

This is a kid who also just happens to have experience as a QB, maybe that still has some value to the organization...

If Volek "bolts" for a staring job, Naanee's value might go up. ;)

I think he has value as a potential Blocking TE if he cant break out at WR. He came to us a H-Back/TE player. Still not sure why he changed #s. I liked 40 on him. 11 is another good one though. If we do let him go, I wont be devastated.

Legedu came into my work the other day. To his credit, he didn't get smashed drunk like most Chargers do when they party.
