HE JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER!!! HE KICKED A 50 F***ing 8 yarder. 58 yards!!!!!! Most accurate in history and now he has one of the most powerful legs!!! He is on my fantasy team and he has been my most consistent scorer every week!! Other people have bigger games like rivers but Kaeding always gets at least 10 points!!! WHAT A BADASS!

nobody questions his field goal kicking (well, except under pressure)

but dood barely kicks the ball to the 20 on kickoffs

Nate missed a couple FGs a half decade ago therefore he sucks under pressure.

Being the most accurate kicker in the NFL means nothing because the Chargers haven't found themselves in need of a game winning FG in the playoffs in a half decade.

Yeh but it will if they need it. He also was inaccurate from over 45 yards that year. Now he isn't

Yeah I agree. I always used to worry when Kaeding stepped up to anything around the 45 yard range...even if it wasn't a pressure kick to take the lead or seal a game. So the fact that he's making it into the 50s now is a cause for celebration. Not saying he's perfect but he's heading in the right direction.

At Charger camp Nate was targeting a light pole on the southern side of the field to practice his kicks.

Not putting it near it, but hitting it, which he did often.

Well then - I say that the NFL changes the goal posts to light poles. :icon_tease:

I guess the field goal he made against Indy with less than 2:00 left to tie the playoff game and send it to overtime just last year was not a "pressure kick"....

    Of course not.

It's only a "pressure kick" if he misses it.

Ohh yea that big 26 yarder. :icon_rofl: Give me a break. I am willing to drop my grudge as soon as he proves that he can make a clutch kick like the ones he missed in the playoffs.

I am not knocking his accuracy on the average FG. Yes I will always have that missed 40 yarder against the Jets imprinted in my mind. I pulled a Tebow that day! :icon_cry:
If he made the 54 yard kick against the Pats then I think we would have had a great chance to win it all. 54 is a bit longer but still makable. He has yet to have a chance to redeem himself for those misses and he may never have a chance. Until he gets the chance then I will be a reminder of what could have been.:icon_tease: If he misses another then I know a good kicker out of Miami(The U) that we can draft!

I agree with you. He has improved. But you know how kickers are when it is on the line. Some can handle the pressure and some can't. I hope he gets a chance to redeem himself so I can bury the hatchet!

Who would you want to replace him?
Meaning someone who is available of will become a free agent.

Kickers are not like other positions. There has not been a big FA since Vinitieri left NE. I am all about Nate getting the opportunity to stick around and have a chance to prove me wrong. The only kicker that I would like to see us draft is Matt Bosher out of Miami.

I have to agree with you on that also. It is hard to find a good kick off artist.
