With success comes the spotlight. The Chargers tasted success last season, finishing 12-5 and making the NFL playoffs for the first time since 1995. So they will be in the NFL spotlight this season, with two ESPN "Sunday Night Football" games ---- Sept. 25 against the Giants and Dec. 4 against the Raiders ---- and a "Monday Night Football" appearance against the Steelers on Oct. 10.

And Sunday, as the 2005 NFL season kicks off, the light will shine brightly on the Chargers and San Diego, with Fox sending the team's 1 p.m. game with the Cowboys across the nation as its featured late-afternoon contest. The No. 1 announcing team of Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Pam Oliver will work the contest in the only Chargers game to be broadcast on Fox this season.</blockquote>
