One of the best seasons ever for the Bolts on the field, but one of the worst off.

This is bullshit...why would a player making big $$$ be involved in this buying/selling scheme for chump change.

Probably because we have all these undrafted guys, sleepers and late round starters.

AJ needs to get these guys paid ASAP, his team has the best record in the NFL and is making a superbowl run.

I'm not sure counterfeit shoes are exactly chump change Toby.

Each pair costs probably $2 to make in the poor 3rd world countries.

Then, they get them here for about another dollar shipping costs. Throw in another $5 in general costs and skimming by middle-men.

They sell the knockoffs for "half-price" off the real ones, or about $50, and the buyer is thinking he's got a deal. That's still around $40 profit per pair of shoes for the seller of these counterfeits.

An 18-wheeler can carry, what, about two-thousand pairs of these things in a single truckload? That's $80,000 profit per truckload. Do a truckload per month and that's $960K profit per year.

If any Charger players are involved, I doubt it's the ones making nice money. It's probably some of the backups making league minimum that are trying to supplement their $260K per year base salaries.

If an agent lets his client get involved in onea these scams, he needs ta be fired on the spot and held up to ridicule.

Same for an athlete that follows this agent's advise.

Too many of these guys still hang with the criminal element. They get a fat pay day, and their thug crews find ways to get them into trouble while taking care of their boys.

I hope this doesn't come out before February.

Remember earlier in the year when Hank Bauer made reference on a post game show to a third of team being thugs, a third being good guys, and a third were in the middle? I remember seeing a thread about it. Don't fool yourself into thinking that 100% of the thugs are getting league minimum.

    That said.... Steve Foley?
