Im so tired of hearing these Patriot fans talk about steroids...so here you go Pats fans...welcome to the club...

FOXBORO, Mass. (June 23, 2003) -- Free-agent running back Mike Cloud signed with the New England Patriots. If he makes the roster, he would have to sit out the first four games of the regular season for violating the NFL's steroid policy. Cloud's agent, Jonathan Feinsod, has said a protein supplement caused his client to test positive for the banned steroid nandrolone late last season. Cloud was given a four-game suspension.

FOXBORO, Mass. (Aug. 5, 2004) -- Dana Stubblefield, a one-time defensive player of the year, signed with the New England Patriots.
In 11 NFL seasons, the 33-year-old defensive tackle has played for San Francisco, Washington and Oakland, winning a Super Bowl ring with the 49ers in 1994. He was with the Raiders last season after a second stint with the 49ers. [bold]He has appeared before the grand jury investigating a nutritional supplements lab -- the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative -- which has been at the center of a steroids controversy in several sports.[/bold]

Foxboro, Mass (Jul 20, 2005): Eric Warfield, CB. Signed Free agent 2005 and 2006. Suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the 2005 season for violating the league's substance abuse policy

Foxboro, Mass. (Jan. 11, 2007) --Patriots punter Todd Sauerbrun received a four-game suspension before this season started for using ephedra, and he has also been linked with a doctor who was busted for prescribing steroids to professional football players. But Sauerbrun thinks he's gotten a raw deal, saying he's been punished "more than enough," and adding of the steroid allegations:The blog Steroid Nation is not impressed. "If the NFL wants to be serious about it's steroid policy," Steroid Nation writes, "it needs to step up and punt repeat offenders like Saurbrun." Personally, I have no sympathy at all for Sauerbrun. Although I do think some NFL players, like Detroit's Shaun Rogers, have been treated harshly for what seem like minor violations of rules pertaining to over-the-counter diet pills, Sauerbrun has, if anything, gotten off easily. With the Patriots in the playoffs, Sauerbrun will be getting increased scrutiny this week. If he's smart, he'll clam up with the whole "woe-is-me" routine.

SAN FRANCISCO - Greg Anderson, the personal trainer at the heart of the Barry Bonds steroids scandal, evoked the name of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in a statement to prosecutors. Anderson, who is refusing to testify before a newly assembled grand jury, said he had spoken to Brady over the phone but never made further contact.“I had only one brief conversation with Tom Brady regarding a potential future workout,” Anderson said in the statement to prosecutors that was included in court documents unsealed yesterday. “I never had another phone conversation with him and never discussed it with anyone.” (allegedlyby the way)

See more people care about Merriman is because they know who he actually is. No name Pat players, which is about all but 3 of them, no one really cares about.
