I had bought home and away jerseys for Rivers, LT, and Gates, and a throwback for Gates, just this past season. I don't mind that. I have older jerseys going back to the Fouts era. What bugs me is that everything, or at least 90% Chargers stuff I own and are displayed throughout my house, have the Navy Blue helmet logo, or the Chargers name w/the white bolt logo. Merchandise, and clothing. I guess once the season starts, I'll break down and buy the White helmet, full size, and mini.

How did you find out they were changing the throwbacks too?

Nothing wrong with adding more memorabilia. You can always look back and remember the Navy helmets and all that stuff. This isn't the first change in helmets and logos in Charger history and I doubt it's the last.

It's an adjustment and it's tough because we're used to it, but in a few years we'll get used to this one too, and even if they were the ugliest things ever we'd still like them (hey look at Brown fans), although every uni will be compared to the Powder Blues, and let's face it no uni will be as good as those.

:bolt2: I've got so much memorabilia going back over 30 years, I hate to get more, but I guess I'll have to with the new white helmets. You are right about the Browns, they have the WORST uniforms of all time. :bolt2:

Ok, am I the only one seriously bugged by the damn upside down bolt in the navy colored uniform?!

But those throwbacks are kick ***!

Edit: I heard today that they only had one jersey made so far and that was LT's. Perhaps the bolts shown on the Navy uniform were incorrectly put on.

Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson spent roughly two hours signing autographs at Field of Dreams sports memorabilia store in San Diego’s Fashion Valley Mall Saturday, and in the midst of fans giving brief congratulations on his 2006 season and well wishes for the upcoming year, there was one topic that dominated the conversations.

“They all wanted to talk about the new uniforms,” Tomlinson said. “Everyone seemed pretty excited. I know once people see them, they’re going to like them as much as we do. We really like the new look.”

The Chargers are set to unveil their three new uniforms at a private fashion show Wednesday. Players who have seen the jerseys are impressed. Linebacker Shaun Phillips was shopping at Fashion Valley Saturday afternoon and stopped in to see his teammate. When asked his thoughts on the new uniforms, Phillips was quick to give two thumbs up.

“I think it’s hot,” Phillips said. “I can’t wait to get on the field in them. I saw them for the first time last Thursday and really like them a lot. All the guys that I’ve talked to agree. We’re excited about the change.”

Fans will be able to get their first look at all three full uniforms as well as the new logo Wednesday night on Chargers.com. A full photo gallery will be available.

A few merchandise items featuring the new Chargers logo will be available immediately after Wednesday’s unveiling. Destinations for Chargers merchandise are the Chargers Team Store, the Chargers online pro shop and Champs Sports locations nationwide. Select t-shirts, polo shirts, headwear and novelty items will be available for purchase as early as Wednesday after 5 pm. The new jerseys will be available for the first time in stores on April 26. Fans can preorder jerseys through www.Chargersproshop.com.

In addition to the players receiving new duds, the Charger Girls uniforms will also be getting a makeover. Team officials are working to give the NFL’s hottest dance team a new look that reflects the addition of powder blue to the color scheme.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue

That's the feeling I get when I see both those unis. It is a great blend of all the previous eras of uniforms, yet unique to this current team.

I still love the old uni's, but I'm quickly falling in love with the new ones as well. I'm just glad I didn't by that authentic jersey 3 weeks ago....

Can somebody post/host this someplace that gets through my firewall? It's killing me that I can't see this.

Unless the new uni is a red X?

I got three authentic jerseys on ebay this year for an average price of $40 each. Brand new, still sealed with tags. I dont know if they fell of a truck or what, but its way cheaper than buying retail.

you're not the only one, that's the first thing I noticed too, bugs the hell out of me
I'd guess that they will change it, if not, why would they change in the powder blues

P.S. I love the new unis

    They are probably fakes.

I have been saving/wanting a customized authentic jhersey for years and never had the extra coin to spend on it. We'll now that I have it, I was going to buy one a few weeks back when the NFL Shop had the 30% sale. I remembered the deal with the logo change and thought maybe, just maybe, I might want to wait in case any changes were made to the jerseys, so I instead opted to get a custom replica throw back. Lo and behold 3 weeks later we get completely new jerseys.

Glad I procrastinated on that. Now, when I can order the new jersey I'll get a brand new uni w/ my name on it.

It's not really upside down. It doesn't really curve. It look more like a straight bolt to me.

Take a look at the powder blue, they are reveresed from one another. The powder blue one looks rightside up, and the navy upside down to me.

I see the difference you're talking about, but who's to say which one is "right side up?" I mean it's a lightening bolt... I don't think it really matters which side the curve faces.

in relation to every other lightning bolt they are "upside down" or facing backwords

look at the lighning bolt on the helmet, from front to back, the top always descends after each point (not easy explaining it :icon_huh: ) but hope you get the picture

I don't like the powder blue version at all. The faithful throwback is much better. :icon_sad:

Yeah I follow, but I don't think there's anything like wrong with it being flipped the other way. I think the only reason it might be aesthetically displeasing is that it's different, but I say let the bolt bend both ways!
