    Yup.

    It appears LT will win.

    http://www.nfl.com/stats/player

Parker had 6 yards more than LT plus whatever he ran for today but it was on the second play of the game he went out.

I don't care about rushing titles, but the playoff picture certainly gets interesting with this news.

I want Jax to go to NE and tenderize the beef before we come to town.

this is a major blow to the steelers playoff chances as well as everything else. The steelers now don't have a good running game to lean on and will be forced to throw alot more then that type of team likes to.

Classic. That makes puts my first 2 picks(RBs) on the IR.

My FFL team got sexed up prison style this year. I was the kiss of death on QBs. Took out Bulger(Mulitple games), Smith(IR), Garcia(Multiple Games) and Frerotye(Multiple Games).

Kept sending trade-spam to the guy who had Brady. :icon_twisted:

    Sucks for the Steelers

I would agree that normally this type of injury would excite me, but Big Ben looks fricken insane tonite. I would hate to think that this could be a blessing in disguise.

Then again, the Rams are horrible defensively.

Yep, so far he's carried the ball 19 times for 98 yards and one TD.

    Granted that's against the Rams.

Wow. Just goes to show how much we take advantage of having LT. Ever since he's been on the team, we've never had to worry about who is lining up in the backfield. Absolutely amazing that he has never missed a game due to injury in todays NFL. LT compares playing runningback in the NFL to suffering a car crash every time he takes a hit on the field, and he prepares accordingly.

Next summer we need a thread to allow the boltalk mongers to draft your team, Brady is the obvious number one pick.

    You and me both.

Isn't Davenport the number two running back?

I'm sure LT would rather beat Parker for the title on the field, not due to injury.

    A few thoughts:
    1. Too bad for willie. Good kid, great talent.
    2. Fred Taylor: welcome to your first Pro Bowl!
    3. Jax will beat New England if they play 'em.

I read somewhere that Fred is so pissed he's been passed over for 10 yrs he said he wouldn't go this year even if one of the 3 picked ahead of him dropped out. :icon_shrug:

His wife and kids will make him go. I think his teammates would also make him go. I'm sure he's pissed, but there will be plenty of people urging him to get to Hawaii. The Jags need someone on the field for that game.

I heard him on Dan Patrick Show and he sounded fine. Not sure if the interview was before the announcements though.

GO FRED GO. (except when you play the Chargers)

I would not count out "All Day" Adrian Peterson for the rushing title, he is a kid and the Vikes have more incentive for carries the last couple of games. I know we were missing two stud tacklers in Castillo and Jammer.......but if he stays away from injury this may be the first of many rushing titles........he reminds me alot of Dickerson.....but with even more shiftiness, scary.

LT will take second gladly for doing some damage in the postseason.....the window is in year 2, so we better start making our assault on the Lombardi.

Good riddance than. The guy has never been a top three back in the AFC, and has always been hampered by injury. His best season was in 03, a year in which LT was left out after having one of the greatest seasons for a runningback ever.

He also runs smart. Knows how to use the sideline. Not afraid of contact and bashing people when it needs to be done and he doesn't tank inside the field of play, but he slips the hard hits better than just about any one. That's why he appears to be stronger toward the end of the game when he actually isn't. He's relatively stronger than the tired defensive players who've been taking a good deal more abuse and have been chasing him at the same time.

Parker actually "LOST" a yard on that play, so he finished 5 yards ahead of LT, but has rushed 41 times "MORE" than LT:icon_huh: Hurt or not, Parker would not have won the rushing title. LT is HOT right now, Parker had no real chance.

LT would have it all locked up, if we wouldn't have given Peterson 296 yards several weeks back:icon_sad:

Exactly, Ben was playing against the Rams pass defense. I would rather play Pittsburgh, than Cleveland IMO, if it came to that in the playoffs by some chance.

The Steelers don't scare anybody right now...Jacksonville went into Heinz Field and physically manhandled them. The Patriots cut them to ribbons after looking very pedestrain both before and after.

Without Parker I think they're done.
