Nfl Networks Top 10 Passing Combinations

    Fouts to Winslow/Joiner/Chandler/Jefferson would be in my top 5...Today, you will find it hard to beat Manning to Harrison.

    They based a lot of that on TD passes from QB-to-WR.

    Manning-Harrison are #1 on TD passes, Young-Rice is #2.

    This is a good call and I would not have thought of it straight off .. As much as I hated to watch the Seahawks win at that time, they were an entertaining combo to watch.

    Fouts to Duckworth! Each completion averaged something like 36+ yards!

    They were on my mind. It was almost a coin flip. Jurgensen and Charlie Taylor flitted through my febrile little mind, too.

    We called him Bobby "go deep" Duckworth. I have not heard of him called "the toe" so I might have missed something.

    In the Charger history you have to always honor Humphries to Martin perhaps the best long ball combo to ever pair up on a percentage bases. Joe Namath to Don Maynard and Don Meredith to Bullet Bob Hayes were pretty good. Rodger Staubach to Drew Pearson was a great combination. Bradshaw and Swann were very good as well.

    A lot of the older players don't have the stats that the current combinations do now but the rules have changed a great deal favoring the passing game. No bump and run and QB with micro phones in the helmet are a far cry from Bart Star and Boyd Dowler days.
