No prediction necessary. It is already indisputable FACT that they, along with the Raiders and Patriots, do indeed suck huge sweaty balls.

This is a very fine prediction. But I'm no believer.
3 of the 12 playoffteams won't get the chance.
But nobody knows which one. When the BOLTS
come through I'll be sure they win at least two PO-games.

We're now seeing a new "bandwagon prediction trend" in the NFL.

Someone noticed that the Steelers were unbeatable in '04 and lost early in the playoffs, then struggled to a wild-card in '05 and won the Superbowl. Then the Colts were incredible in '05 and lost in the playoffs, and were less incredible in '06 and won the Superbowl. So now people think the Chargers will struggle a bit more in '07 but will win the Superbowl.

Hey, I'm not saying it won't happen that way... just noting the trend. I hear it everywhere now, from Mty 1090 to local writers, to national guys. The Chargers were the best team last year, so this year they will follow the Steelers / Colts trend, finish as a lower seed, and then win road games in the playoff to win the Superbowl.

I prefer the "Chargers go 14-2 again, win HFA, and then win the Superbowl" scenario.

I prefer the undefeated season all the way through the Super Bowl scenario, but as long as we get a shot come January I'll be happy and alot more confident than I ever was with Marty.

An undefeated season would definitely be sweet, but I'm not sure if the accompanying hype that starts to build around weeks 10 and 11, is really a good thing for a team. Sometimes I wonder if it's not better to lose two or three games over the course of the season so that, come playoff-time, your team remembers that they're not, in fact, invincible.

Of course, having a team that truly is invincible would be better than anything. ;)
