Chargers at Broncos The good news for the Broncos: Pro Bowl CB Champ Bailey's shoulder injury isn't that serious, nor is RB Mike Anderson's rib injury. Both may be out of action against the Chargers, but they will return to the lineup in the next few weeks.

Now the bad news: The Broncos are coming off a 34-10 drubbing at the hands of one of the league's weakest teams. Their defense made Dolphins QB Gus Frerote look like Johnny Unitas. Their offense was 1-of-12 on third down conversions. And the Chargers are a heck of a lot better than the Dolphins.

The Chargers will have TE Antonio Gates, one of their best offensive players, back for this game. Gates was serving a one-game suspension for a contract violation. Despite 24 points against the Cowboys, the Chargers offense couldn't shift into high gear without him as backup TE Justin Peelle just didn't frighten the Dallas defense with his two catches for minus-four yards last week.
