Look at the guy all the way on the right with the Howie Long jersey, and look at the chick in the very center with the Raiders t-shirt. My friends George and Lynn in their Raiders gear, big Raiders fans a few years back tailgating in San Diego.

Now look at George and Lynn, MUCH better! I have told you guys before of my protege Jake (their son). He expressed an interest in the Chargers at a young age, so I bought him a hat and gave him a bunch of Chargers stuff. Had him up to Big Bear to hang out with the Charger Girls. Doing my part to steer a young man in the right direction.

They like going to San Diego, and this year George bought season tickets for the Chargers. I have been happy to help him with whatever info I can provide. He took Jake down to FanFest, and called me from there saying "it's hard not to be a fan when you watch them practice." Now they have season tix, and are wearing Chargers gear. I continue to work with George in his rehabilitation, I will be loaning him Charging Through the AFL and Bombs Away so he can learn more.

It's very fulfilling when you can help a guy turn his life around.

glad you got he and his wife an intervention and it looks like they've been rehabilitated into normal members of society now. I'm sure it was a very arduous 12 step program that they had to go through.

Two more have been turned from the dark side... very good young Skywalker!

Who gave them a seat on the bandwagon? Even though it was the Raiders you NEVER give up on your team. I can not fathom how someone would switch teams. :icon_shrug:

It's good to see that they foresaken their evil, nefarious and criminalistic ways.

They have seen the error of their ways.

George likes football, and his family likes to go to San Diego. He is a fireman, and his schedule magically worked out so that he only has to switch shifts twice to hit all of the games. He got the season tix as an excuse to go to SD, and get his football fix. He switched from the Cowboys to the Raiders when he was a teenager, and he's been pretty fed up with Al Davis. Maybe he's more of a nomad.

I'm just doing my part to help convert him.

There was good in them. I could feel it. You could sense the conflict within them. They searched their feelings. Now they look at you with their own eyes.

Awesome job. Is there a website to help rehabilitate Faider fans. They need our love and support. Now if he could get rid of those black shorts, socks and shoes then the transformation will be complete.

He is doing it for his kid. Great dad.

I am sure 10 years from now when the kid is grown up and the Raiders have their first winning season again his black heart will stir again and he will break out his his plastic shoulder spikes and there will be a good intrafamily rivalry.

Reducing the population of California's correctional institutions, one Raider fan at a time. I love it. And who says people can't change?

Just be careful. Recidivism is high with Raider fans. You better check for silver and black paint beneath his finger nails.

    Ghandi is proud of you.

I got a good friend and tailgater to come from the darkside after 49 years being a Raiders fan and into the light.

He was a Bolt fan for 5 years before he died (last year).

    Ya done good young jedi.

George was at the local sports bar with me watching the game yesterday. Raider fans were behind him and annoying the sh*t out of him, and he was very pissed when we lost the game.

He was also telling me yesterday how nice it is to be able to embrace the Chargers and wear Chargers gear. He said that while he was a Raider fans he rarely wore Raiders stuff because he hated being associated with all the as*holes. Now he wears Charger shirts all the time, and says this is the most fun he's had during a football season (though yesterday sucked).

I think he has truly left the Raiders behind.

If that game wouldn't turn him back into a Raider fan, nothing would.
