Cottrell can eat a dick. Phillips is hurt and we're dropping him in coverage. Without Weddle our safeties don't know ****; a 500LB TE gets wide open down the middle and the midde of the field is WIDE FUCIN OPEN.

Rivers has 17 turnovers in 10 games.

Are we even running a 3-4 anymore? :icon_shrug:

3rd and 1 and our O-Line gets beat like a drum.

FU AJ and Deano this is your mess.

The defense didn't do bad in the second half, only allowing the one touchdown. The problem was going behind 17-3 in the first half. You can't do that on the road against a top five defense and win.

Gerrard doesn't throw interceptions. MJD doesn't fumble and neither does Taylor. No too surprising of a result.

    Missed a few tipped ones.

Without Weddle our safeties can't play the run and they can't play the pass..... it's fucing maddening. Usually you can find guys that can play one or the other. The middle of the field is like fucing la-la land........ :icon_evil:

Defense played like zombies in the first half. Showed more aggression against the run in the second.

We were giving up 24 pts a game last year with Wade AND Wade had merriman on steroids, a healthy castillo and jamal, and two competent inside linebackers. Placing the blame on cottrell is a load of crap and the players are the first to tell you that. The only difference between this year and last is that our offense was putting up enough to make everyone forget how ****** Wade's defenses were. We were "starting fast" as morty said and making teams play catchup. Ted has done an outstanding job given the circumstances. Offense, defense and special teams go hand in hand and ted should look at the offense and say "what have you done for me lately". They have given him **** field position and kept his defense on the field for a long time and we have had to rotate players like bingham in who are getting bulldozed.

idk. i dont say its teddy. typically the head coach doesnt just oversee everything, he focuses on offense. norv or whoever it is that makes the plays. they like doubled the size of the playbook and its retarded. i havent seen very many of em work. you could come up with such a big @$$ book of plays, but you didnt come up with plays that carve up the defenses left and right? wth is that? thats garbage. stick to the original playbook where we won 14 games. from what i understand, the players dont like him. just think about the post game interviews of last week.

Our 3rd and long defense is as predictable as the morning sun.

Rush four. Soft zone. No pressure. Bad safety play. First down.

3rd and long defense doesn't mean crap when we are up against 3rd and short 75% of the time. Nobody is generating negative plays. 3rd down defense sucked balls under Wade last year the difference is that we put teams into unmanageable situations 50% of the time by stuffing the run for negative yards or no gain or getting a sack. This year teams are putting themselves into manageable situations and that's because the players are getting bulldozed on 1st and 2nd down which is because of players losing 1 on 1 battles and not Cottrell. Anyway this **** doesn't matter because I am Tom Brady's ***** and the New England Patriots are the greatest team in football history and will win the SB yet again.

    MTL's making some good points.

I mean, I wouldn't say this year's defense is quite as good as last year's, but I also wouldn't say they're all that far apart all things considered.

In the meantime, however, last year's offense is light year's better than this year's offense
