The view from the back showed helmet hitting helmet. They called that all year long.

Still like Brady when under the gun though, lets see what he's still got now.

Boldin's tough and as strong as any reciever in the league.

view from the back ???........................what good is that when the hit was from the front Conc ?

Just because the mans head snaps back, doesnt necessarily mean his head has been contacted.

The Ravens D will need to stop them here to have a hope of holding the game. Hate him, but Brady is the QB who can take a game over.

Ah, I forgot how annoying it is when you play obtuse. The fact is this. That same play, with coincidental helmet to helmet contact, even though the contact was initially to chest has been flagged all season long. I am not saying they are correct. IF you go and look my call was for consistency from the referees in making that call. Not to call that play.

Try to follow the conversation wont you... ;)

If Goodell is serious about "player safety", ANY helmet to helmet contact should be outlawed, has nothing to do with whether its a Pass or Running play ..........

Guys are still using the helmet as a weapon and always will till its completely outlawed.

Your the one completely missing the point mate ...................on THAT PLAY there was ZERO helmet to helmet, anything else is irrelevant, not talking about what happened "all year", just that instance.

    How do you do that?

If you say crown of the helmet outlawed I will agree. But when tackling your head is right there, the oppositions helmet (if coming at you) is right there. Think about it. Are you suggesting we outlaw tackling?

No shyte sherlock! THEN WHY HAVE THEY BEEN CALLING IT ON THAT PLAY ALL SEASON LONG?! That is what I am saying. Stop calling it wrong, and get some consistency. Thanks for playing Jack...

Strange, in our football we seem to be able to tackle without using the "headfirst" technique, why is it this game is so different ???

You teach a player to tackle at the hips with his should and arms Conc, its really NOT brain surgery, any time the head leads the way its illegal, simple.

Man that Pats defender came in untouched. Could have been a bigger hit.

Proper tackling form is taught from Per-Wee through College (probably NFL as well)... Head up, looking at what you are tackling. Wrap your arms and drag them down. In American football there is no rules about not tackling above the waste. I dont think there has to be. Its when a player lowers the head and uses the crown of the helmet that there are injury issues. Often as many on the one making the hit.

Welkers cloaking shield is still working apparently.

Too bad the Balls shields are not working. I love hearing all the fans screaming "No! Oh! No!"

Your intial post, yes you did say that .............but correct me if this one below doesn't mention you saying there was "Helmet to Helmet" on Pitta's hit ?
Yeah, Thanks for playing alright, I get that you hate the Pats, but don't let that hate blind your ability to be objective or see things for what they truly are. ;)

It was. The initial contact was helmet to chest. The receivers helmet came forward and made contact with the defenders helmet. That has been incorrectly called all season long. What is it about this that is so difficult for you to grasp?

Well its NOT proper tackling form in todays game anymore, is it !!!!

Ive said it for years, take the helmet away and I bet you any money that guys wouldn't lead with the head, self preservation instinct kicks in ................in every other "contact sport in the world" outside of Ice Hockey and American Football, there are NO pads used that make players feel invincible, therefore they are all part of the problem to begin with, lose those and you'll get a fairer indication of "pure tackling ...................if Aussie Rules doesn't do it for you, go check out either form of Rugby if you still have doubts.

Yeah it is. It hasnt changed.

The only think the NFL has done is limited when you can make helmet to helmet contact with the receiver, and QB. They have not outlawed helmet contact, which is what you were calling for in your initial post, so I am not quite sure if you are arguing to argue or arguing that the NFL should adopt Aussie rules...

    Ya cheeky bugger!:)
