I'd give it to the Niners CBs. Not clear how Flacco gets away with the looping passes without the Niners CBs being in farged up SB state.
Either them or the guy who pulled the lever on the circuit box and turned it into a game ;)

Once a douche, always a douche.........

Jim Harbaugh upset about late penalties, or lack thereof
Posted by Darin Gantt on February 3, 2013, 11:42 PM EST
After losing the Super Bowl to his brother, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh didn’t have much to say.
But many of the words he did use were to complain about the officiating near the end of the game, particularly the failed fourth-down conversion.
When discussing his final series with the ball, Harbaugh said “there was no question in my mind there was a pass interference, and then a hold on the last play.”
He also griped about the “tackling” of his players on the intentional safety the Ravens took to burn clock, saying (rather huffily) “I never got an explanation on that.”
When asked why he didn’t bother running the ball with Frank Gore near the goal line (which made sense given Gore’s 110 yards on 19 carries, Harbaugh looked perturbed, shrugged and said “we had other plays called.”
Expecting the 49ers coach to be calm is unreasonable, given the way he behaves when things went well. But as wounded as he was, there wasn’t much grace exhibited, considering the moment his brother just experienced.

That Culliver certainly made a name for himself ....................... albeit for all the wrong reasons, but then again, he seems the type that would adhere to the old theory of "any publicity, is GOOD publicity", so getting continually owned by an opponent in a Superbowl Im sure he see's as a win situation.

I may have to retract my feelings about ScareCro being the worst CB in the NFL after seeing this easybeat play the game. ;)

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought that (bolded) ........ what a lame answer that is !!!!!

Yeah, Dick and those "other plays" in all likelyhood just cost you a Superbowl.....................Man up and say, yeah, that would probably have been the way to go in hindsight at least.

hahahahahahaha, I was waiting for that BLEW !!! ;)

I have some optimism mate, why wouldn't you with an entire new staff ?

But we still have to be honest with ourselves and admit that its gonna take more than Coahing etc, to improve our situation.

First up will be player evaluation ability in FA and the draft, then we'll have some idea what we have.

Now we have to deal with all this "Is Joe Flacco an elite QB now ?" talk !!!

Ohhh shite, that must mean Fillup has slipped another rung on the ladder.

hell, is he even on that ladder anymore ??? :(

Non-call on key play cuts both ways for Niners
Posted by Mike Florio on February 4, 2013, 12:43 AM EST
49ers coach Jim Harbaugh complained about the absence of a holding or interference call on the fourth-and-goal play that didn’t result in a potential game-winning touchdown catch by receiver Michael Crabtree. And regardless of whether Jim Harbaugh went far enough to warrant a fine from the league office (he probably didn’t), he needs to remember that it was that same kind of non-call that helped put his team in the Super Bowl in the first place.
Two weeks ago, as the Falcons were driving for a potential NFC title-winning touchdown, a fourth-down play resulted in an incomplete pass to receiver Roddy White due in large part to the fact that linebacker NaVorro Bowman admitted to some “pulling and tugging” of White.
Jim Harbaugh is smart enough to realize that, in those situations, the flags stay a little deeper in the officials’ pockets. His team benefited from that dynamic to get to the Super Bowl, and his team was harmed by it in the Super Bowl.
Regardless, that’s football — and it’s incumbent on any coach when calling plays in crunch time and any quarterback throwing the passes to realize that in close cases of pulling and tugging the refs won’t be pulling or tugging the laundry out of their pants.

How about his story if it wasn't already a "thing of dreams" ????

Might as well gear up for "Blindsided Again" ...............................Hmmm, maybe I should patent that title ??? [IMG]

Jim Harbaugh just gambled on getting a PI call to get a fresh set of downs, so either Gore or Kappy could punch it in with very little to no time left on the clock for the Ravens to benefit from their TOs. The score was 34-29 before the self induced Safety and had the Niners scored on that drive, the score would have been 36-34 with the point after TD. Ravens going down the field and garnering a FG would have still meant a Ravens win 37-36. Jim is just too much of a pompous sore loser to admit to what he had in mind. Farg Him :D
