I've just read that the word on the street says we have agreed to a deal with Kimmy for 4 years !!!!!

Now why anyone would sign a kicker for that amount of time is totally beyond me ........ Surely all those guys are year-to-year propositions........did they learn nothing from the Katie experience ???????

So what is he guaranteed then, money-wise ????

Again, when it comes to Kickers, I wouldn't be guaranteeing a damn thing ................... bastards can "lose IT" in a matter of seconds, as we have been privy too in the past.

"So long, farewell, Auf Weidersehen, goodbye

    Goodbye
    Goodbye

I do believe there is even a mention of a "little birdy" in that tune for memory ..................... could that be the Twitter bird logo by any chance ?????.................or simply a coincidence ????? :cautious:

Lights Out as far as repping the Chargers for Shizzle ........................ now tell me BLEW, how good was he once his (much better) teamate(s) weren't demanding the double teams etc ???

C'mon, you now know the guy was nothing but a decent second-stringer, who only excelled once in a blue moon and never when he was the #1 Pass Rushing defender, had a few decent games, where he actually showed some intensity and nastiness, but overall, always came across to me as someone who thought he was a lot better than what he really was.

Won't be missed, highly overated by many of the Charger faithful.

He addresses everyone that way LG...............

Your one of the boy's, no doubt.

Now if that offends you, we swing fairly losely in here, so if need be, a little lip gloss and some fishnet's isn't beyond us in the least.

Blitzy has an entire walk-in closet full of feminine fatale goodies I do believe ...........................thats why he could never invite Pumpkin to his house.......

    He'd make Rue Paul look downright Lumberjack-butch ...... ;)

Well, when your nickname is "The Other Guy", how can you say he was overrated? ;)

Phillips was a good complimentary player, and there's no shame in that. He was a decent pass defender, which most pass rushers aren't. Obviously, he benefitted greatly from having a "roided" Merriman, and a dominant Jamal in his early years here.

Well not every fan thought of him as TOG ofcourse................. there were only a handful for memory in the JNCP and I rarely seen anything negative written about him over the course of his career in too many other forums.

There's no doubt he was one of those that benefitted from others excelling around him, the 2 above were the obvious choices ofcourse, but when they were done, many expected him to step up and take the reins, but he was never that type player who could turn a game in our favour (well, only in talk or his own mind)

I had nothing against Phillips as a player...... he exceeded his draft position for sure. You can't say he came into the league with high expectations, like some of our guys (Mathews, etc.).

What I didn't like, was all his off-the-field BS. Phillips was never an elite player, but he played well for us in his time here..... it's just time to part ways. Let him seek his last "money" deal elsewhere.

Anquan Boldin situation “not looking promising”
Posted by Mike Florio on March 11, 2013, 3:04 PM EDT
When it comes to the contract standoff between the Ravens and receiver Anquan Boldin, no news is bad news.
The two sides have not yet worked out a deal that would replace Boldin’s $6 million base salary for 2012. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, it’s “not looking promising.”
Boldin previously had promised to retire if he’s cut by the Ravens. More recently, it has become clear that Boldin will indeed play elsewhere, if the Ravens cut him loose.
It nearly happened Friday. It could still happen today or tomorrow before 4:00 p.m. ET, when the new league year begins.

    • They make Flacco the highest paid QB, but they want Boldin to take a pay cut.

If it wasn't for Boldin's pass catching ability, the Ravens don't win the Super Bowl...... period.

So, the Ravens trade him to the 49ers........ I guess they're happy with "one and done." ;)

For a 6th round pick?

I would have given them our 2nd-2 from two years ago, plus a ham sandwich, a bag of chips and a free 16 Oz soft drink of their choice ;)

    Now that's what Id call highway robbery .....a 6th for a player who's an unquestionable game-changer ???

My God, talk about having things go right when your peaking .........Niners are laughing all the way back to the Superbowl with a deal like one.

Harvin to the Hags doesn't hurt them either I might add ......... hell of a pickup.

Im in absolute shock over the Boldin deal though........any chance we could pull something like off offering up Meachem ?????

You seem to have forgotten a very small detail in there:

I hear that the two HC's are related ;)

Isn't there such a thing as nepotism or anti-trust laws in the NFL?

Ed Reed hires agent, could be headed to 49ers
Posted by Mike Florio on March 11, 2013, 6:41 PM EDT
Receiver Anquan Boldin may not be the only Ravens player who joins the 49ers.
A league source with extensive knowledge of the current safety market believes that the 49ers could land Ravens safety Ed Reed.
As Albert Breer of NFL Network first reported on Twitter (as best we can tell), Reed has indeed hired David Dunn of Athletes First. Now that Reed has an agent, the agent can talk to teams in advance of the start of free agency at 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
The fact that Reed is in play for the Niners means that Dashon Goldson isn’t. Goldson is expected to be the hottest free agent on the safety market. Reed may not be the hottest, but he may be the next big name to join one of the hottest teams in the league.

I demand a Congressional investigation! I believe that the SB was also fixed and we need our elected officials to drop everything else (including their pants, if not already down by their ankles) and concentrate on this one issue at once!

You really expect me too believe that Johnny boy is now gonna help his younger Bro win a Superbowl at HIS expense ?

Your reaching now my friend, those 2 are far to competitive to ever let something as simple as brotherly love get in the way of a Superbowl victory.
