    Well dohhhhhhh !!!

the simple fact he/she/both recalls certain past criteria from those days suggests that he/she/both was more than likely involved on some level wouldn't you think ???

What about the likes of a Bolt Thrower 2 or KentuckyChargersFan or GoCharge .........here's a blast from the past for you all .........Leggo ????

I'm thinking its someone who wasn't an original member or overly regular contributor ....... Basically your lurker-type. :D

Taco has an iPhone but WON'T except my FaceTime calls because its a "company phone" ...... :whistling:

Now why that's an issue we haven't quite figured out yet, but the obnoxious, threatening email I received after attempting the call has been passed along to Homeland Security and he's been added to the No Fly list I do believe.

If it's a clique it's one that's open to almost everyone. The one exception being Oz apparently, which sucked by the way. Still pissed I was gone that week. Might have calmed all the overly sensitive around here down on that one.

I think this was a GHEE issue sir. Call chargertom a qunt and everybody laughs. Nobody can tell me the females over here are more effective mods than him based on what they post.

CT is a prick of the first degree. The mods over here aren't half as control freakish as that.
I didn't agree with them on the Oz thing, but posted that you were pissing in the wind back in Aug 2012, a post that Oz echoed over at harbaugh. Though I've gotta admit, your recent rally has convinced me otherwise. It's good to get mod decisions out in the open. That alone has shown more mod backbone here than at .com.

The SMM / harbaugh model is way different. Not all boards can be like that. A bit of a false comparison given that you never brought it up, but interesting all the same. We've seen overmoderated, unmoderated and the middle stuff that's hard to hit. Whether it's worth hitting is the interesting topic. Certainly the overmoderated boards have a place for those who prefer to be overmoderated. Same with the unmoderated. What's interesting is that a lot of internet posters prefer the in between to varying degrees, and bitch when their preferences aren't met. Maybe Generation Y mentality is more prevalent than we thought.

The question is FCB is if any of them have the degree of emotional maturity to be as effective when dealing with some of the more sophisitcated chain pullers. The mere fact that they are still so angry after this many months have passed would indicate that no they don't. robdog by not making a go of this is coming down on the side of preserving cheap labor. If he was a true blue Chargers fan, he wouldn't be running a Cheesehead board... or a Seahags board. The business model is about not complicating the issue more than it is about providing us a good service here.

I have a great friend--met him in 1986 in Telluride. Still go out climbing and canyoneering with him. So in '87 when I was gearing up to travel the world he said, "if you ever end up in the outback in Australia, you'll go to a bar ( he knew me well). In that bar, they'll of course know that you're not from there. The first guy that talks to you in that bar will try to wind you up in ways you never thought have. Just buy him a beer and you'll be alright. If you argue with him, you're ******."

A lot of Americans don't get that. Especially on the internet. The chain puller thing is not understood here. Fact of life. 'Taking the piss' in Australia, UK etc = 'trolling' in North America (yep the canadians are just as bad as us, and if gooey is an example, we have a solid triumverate).

Gotta say, this did give me a good chuckle: You really do have a delightful way of implying alternate realities, re. maturity...within 3 seconds of reading "sophisitcated (sic) chain pullers" :D
my brain played along with "erudite Juggalos."

Early 90s I'm in northern Kenya hitchhiking. Catch a ride in a dump truck of all things. So I'm in the bed of the truck with about a dozen Kenyans who are also hitching and as usual someone has to tell a story. One of the locals pipes up, it goes like this "Two friends of mine hitched a ride in a lorry last year, they climb in and it's full of empty coffins being delivered up the road. They pick up people as the ride goes along and everyone's having a great time smoking, chewing, drinking. Then it starts to rain, so everyone climbs into the empty coffins to get away from the rain. During the rain, the driver picks up more hitchhikers. It stops raining and everyone starts opening up the coffins. One of the new hitchhikers thinks it's the dead coming back to life and jumps off the lorry. It was going 60 KPH so he died."
Everyone on that truck laughed their arses off.
    Good joke?
