    Can I ask .................

    Why the lull of a few days in signing someone we haven't heard of in 4 years ?

    Has Tommy Gun lost his edge ?

    Maybe he's waiting on Little Johnny's scouting report ? or for Buddy Nix to get his lazy arse on the line and give it a "Yay or Nay" ??? :D

    Ask Leonardo DaVinci. Legend has it that he went in a cave somewhere in Italy back in the days and then disappeared for a few years without a trace. When he eventually appeared, he was drawing drafts of what we call a helicopter these days :p

    I would have definitely suspected you of being the pilot's daughter, if you had actually gone to school :D

    The mother, not the baby. ;)

    While Jim is in rehab, one of his daughters, Carlie, will fill Jim's role. Will sign off on trades, acquisitions, etc.

    Hey, if we have to put up with Little Johnny as our recruiting guru, I see no reason why junior above shouldn't be given a chance to do the same with the Colts at least !!!

    So Jacko, how old an old bastage are ya? (I still get to call you young'un right?)..

    Happy Birthday BTW - didn't know until I saw DFW's post.

    ~~~
    I also am tickled to see Tutu back in the fold - having never played on Teams, turns out the guy is a great Gunner - and unlike our last "great gunner" and former Aztec, this one can actually catch a few balls! :D
    I remember seeing the other day a quote from Gates saying that Stuckey was the best special teams player we've ever had, and that included Osgood. To have two top gunners on your squad makes a big difference. What we're lacking, is a quality return man. get that, and our special teams will be top notch.
    Wondering if TT is going to roll the dice on another guy with bad luck when it comes to injuries:
    The Chargers worked out return man Marc Mariani.
    (The linked article seems to ignore that it was a shoulder injury that kept him out last year after the leg injury the year before)... I guess he is something special at both KR & PR when healthy... Any word on this one today? I haven't checked. <blush>
    Special teams may become a moot point though.........
    NFL owners will vote on moving kickoffs to the 40
    Posted by Michael David Smith on March 19, 2014, 5:42 PM EDT
    Three years after the NFL moved kickoffs from the 30-yard line to the 35, it may be time to move kickoffs five yards forward again.
    The Competition Committee announced today that owners will vote at next week’s league meeting on whether to move kickoffs again, this time to the 40-yard line.
    According to the Competition Committee, this is a rule proposal designed to take player safety into consideration: Moving the kickoff will result in more touchbacks, fewer returns and therefore fewer collisions. The NFL in recent years has identified kickoffs as some of the most dangerous plays in the game of football.
    The rule would also be viewed by many as a step toward de-emphasizing special teams. (Washington, which was terrible on special teams last year, was the team that proposed the rule change.) Eventually, if the NFL keeps moving kickoffs forward, it will make touchbacks so easy that it might as well just eliminate kickoffs entirely.
    It’s not clear how much support the proposal has, but if 24 of the 32 owners are in favor of it, the rule will pass. And we’ll see a lot fewer kickoff returns next year.
    Old enough for you to be my Daddy I believe Dave !!! :D
    54 mate, just a "pup" really. :rolleyes: (same age as our Chargies ;))
    Also happy to keep TuTu around, he's shown he can be thrown to deep in the past, have often wondered why he wasn't used in that role more last year.
