I see Dungy is backtracking quicker than ScareCro from physical contact !!!!

    Typical ....... Just what I'd expect from some pencil-necked, softc.o.c.k, bible thumping do-gooder ........

May want to make sure your "own house" is squeaky clean before passing public comment of anyone else Mr Pristine !! :whistling:

As soon as I saw that he was one of the guys eligible for the PUP, I had a feeling he would be axed. Another of AJ's winners. ;)

First thing I thought of was your Lamb shank Avi ...... Another total fargin' AJ dud that we all questioned (correctly again I may add) at the time of drafting ......

It's no wonder this franchise took the nose dive it did there for a few seasons there, had little to do with the players we knew who "could play", but far more to do with the surrounding cast, which to say the least, was nothing short of fargin' ridiculously short on ability.

We must spend more money on medical room expenses, than any other sports team in history I reckon......... What could it be that causes all these "major injuries" we seemed cursed with ????

    Hey Conc,

Just read your post on FB regarding your "baby boy Max" .....

So sorry to hear that news and you go right ahead and shed as many tears as needed, I'd be disappointed in you if you didn't.

You'll know when it's time, it becomes almost like a 6th sense and he'll make you aware.

I don't pray or perform any miracles at times of sorrow, not me at all, but I guarantee you I WILL shed a tear in his honor and loyalty to your family all these years.

Looking at his "history", you are probably spot on there Blue - gonna be a fun camp to watch!

    ---

Lots of newz - Pat Bowlin stepping down as he is battling Alzheimer's disease - Chiefs signed their starting RB to a 2 year extension, (significant per-game pay raise). Clarey to PUP as expected, and bye-bye Mouton whose presence was even more inexplicable than English.

Another good sign was that Verrett didn't have to go on the PUP list, so he will be in the mix before too long.

Blewy, I think a lot of that will be dependent upon Clary and his agent... Given the way our young GM is doing business, you KNOW that he will have the organization working on getting Jeromey to sign a 2 year contract at a more affordable price for the team while he is on the PUP list. Coach 'D has gone public that he wants to keep him and probably has heard about his comments from the F.O. "if you really want to keep him then STFU and let us handle that part". ;)

Love me some Fatboy sammich time!

I had anticipated seeing just that move, until the team signed Brandon Flowers - but with him present, the team has a lot of options and its time to get the young'un on the field with a little risk. Bet the coaches will be watching/limiting his participation/etc. very closely until they see what happens when scar tissue meets punishment.

The latest report I saw had Verrett practicing with the starters........ him and Marshall. Wright and Flowers were on the 2nd team. Read into that what you will.

Its kind of like "Let's see what this Galaxy Class Starship can Do!" - gotta find out what you've got post surgery. (What better way to find out that toss him right into the fire). Pretty sure they can count on Flowers to fill in at a very, very high level anywhere a DB is needed. Using Marshall as an on-field coach to kick things off might be a damn smart move in the long run. Pure conjecture, I won't be reading too much into anything until I see the starting lineup on late MNF come September. ;)

As far as Day 1 is concerned, when is their first full contact practice? I doubt we will see much until its against an opposing team. Between the new limiting rules and an obviously intelligent head coach - we may actually see fewer serious camp injuries, (except for the exhibition games themselves).

Edited: From watching the post-practice interviews live, it sounds like Marshal impressed heck out of some of the "new" DBs today. :D

Watching chargers.com/live - post-practice interviews. Nothing but positive vibes. PR was PR - Woody is a consummate Pro (talking about the RB room), Gates, on and on.. As fans we can't expect much more at this stage...

I didn't think that much of Marhsall last season, but it's good to hear that he's trying to "up" his game. I like what I've heard this offseason from Addae.... there's a kid with a serious work ethic.

    Confession time .....

"Justin Blackmon arrested (again) for marijuana possession"

OK, I believe I may need to confess to being 100% incorrect in assessing how I seen this blokes NFL career going !!!!

I officially give up on this loser as of this moment !!!

    Thank you ...

Addae needs to work on "less showboating, more consistent play", then I'll be a believer. ;)

Well, now we know why Gates missed the offseason stuff....... his 22-year-old sister just died of Lupus. And here he is the day after, in camp. I guess he needed the familiar surroundings to get his mind off of his loss.

Question... Can the NFL suspend players from Seattle or Denver for having marijuana in their system? It is legal there and all.... Hmmmm...

But federal law doesn't recognize the right, and the NFL rules are one notch above that. ;)
